Just seen the headlines that our Health Secretary has been having an affair..

My question is what should be his punishment? I don't think anyone wants his Job during this Covid period and Mr Hancock, say what you like about him at least he didn't quit when the going got tough.

I never understand the preoccupation of prominent people's love/sex affairs.

Be more like the French who are more surprised when a politician isn't having an affair.

He should be sacked for a lot more things than having an affair!

She should definitely be referred to a psychiatrist though!

I think it's more a historical hangover. The Tory party, in particular, has always tried to project "family values" etc.

But in recent years, along with most of their other values, this has gone to the wall.

Oh, and while the law forbid close contact with others.

What's the problem? I'm sure he said sorry (now he has been found out) and I sure that lessons will be learned, and he is still capable of doing a bang up job for his exorbitant salary.

All he needs to worry about is receiving the Prime Minister's full support...

Can just see Boris slapping him in the back and saying good lad. No wonder they fuck everything up , how can you be focussed on work when having an affair , it’s near impossible. Plus when it comes to trust and integrity ,we already knew he was a serial liar like his boss, so no surprise. Normally with guys, Iron sharpens iron, or in there case shit sticks to shit

There’s a huge amount of hypocrisy in the rubber necking over his affair.

So what if he is? Do we know or understand the situation in his marriage?

The sheer volume of people on here that are cheating (most likely at least a few will comment on this thread), we also claim to value discretion and to respect others choices…

I guess that goes out the window when it’s a salacious bit of hot gossip

If he’s doing it on the job then that should mean disciplinary action , just like it would for anyone else in paid employment. Other than that I think people should keep their nose out.

As for Boris - it used to be that if you googled him it would say he had 3 or 4 children - nobody could be sure of anything with that one he certainly can’t judge.

I don’t care he’s had an affair.

I care he was a close friend with her ( maybe an affair then) before he was a minister and he appointed her to a 20 days a year £15k plus expenses contract. Lining her pocket and making it easier for him to get his fun at work.

That’s the sleazy bit.

Too much convenience with this bad boy. The Cummings revelations about Boris and Hancock’s relationship must have soured things so Hancock can now do the “honourable” thing and fall on his sword to sort out his private life. And we can get an energised new Health Minister who starts putting thing right.

"What's the problem? I'm sure he said sorry (now he has been found out) and I sure that lessons will be learned, and he is still capable of doing a bang up job for his exorbitant salary.

All he needs to worry about is receiving the Prime Minister's full support...

(this post has its tongue so far in the cheek, it can see daylight)

Exorbitant salary...? Not defending the man... But one thing our ministers don't get is an exorbitant salary.

Pay peanuts get monkeys! Something is very wrong when those responsible for running the country are remunerated less than 10% of what some charity directors are paid for part time work "

I would imagine that charity directors over £1 million are not part time. If you are the CEO of Oxfam or something of a similar size, I would expect a good renumeration. These are organisations larger than a good percentage of British businesses.

On MP pay, I do think it should be increased, but their right to have other roles outside of being an MP should be stopped.

Maybe the huge ones are onns good wage but I suspect the vast majority are on no where near that much.

Plus of course that doesnt take into account the numerous other ways a politician can keep his salary topped up.

I care he was a close friend with her ( maybe an affair then) before he was a minister and he appointed her to a 20 days a year £15k plus expenses contract. Lining her pocket and making it easier for him to get his fun at work.

That’s the sleazy bit.

Can we smell a friend of Cummings? .. my money is on Boris letting this out as an easy way to dispose of an irritating minister and let him take full blame for the whole fiasco of the Covid handling. Hancock obviously was to busy shagging to run the Covid campaign properly is what it infers.

No one and especially on this site gives a stuff about who he’s shagging. It’s the Covid arrogance and do as I say not as I do along with the cosy arrangement to give his lover a nice little earner while he’s getting his fun in the middle of Covid .

No rules were broken he said . Well regarding little earners the rules need changing big time .Still 12 years after the report and revimqnfations came out no action has been taken on reform of expenses .

They are just a bunch of sleazy thieves.

You go to jail if defraud your employer . This lot just say oh sorry about that and give it back but only if they get caught. .

Boris Johnson's official spokesman says the prime minister has accepted Health Secretary Matt Hancock’s apology after he was photographed kissing an aide, and considers the matter closed.

The spokesman refused to answer questions on whether Mr Hancock had broken the law, and pointed to Mr Hancock's statement where he had admitted breaking social distancing guidance.

He insisted proper procedures were followed in the appointment of Gina Coladangelo as a non-executive director in Mr Hancock’s department.

Yep. We already know Hancock is a lying, useless cunt; the fact that he's had an affair is only relevant in as much as it allows anyone to question his integrity with certainty.

As for his punishment? We can only hope his wife makes it cripplingly painful and long lasting; because none of the shit-stains who sit round the Cabinet table with him are going to sanction him.

Unless it was one of them who sold the picture to The Sun.

if one is going to impose their morals on greater society by passing them into laws then it is prudent for one to have a modicum of morality ... unlike hancock who has consistantly proved himself morally bereft, along with the greater proportion of the cabinet.

Only if she truly believes in the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. LOL

I don't really care about him or his wife; I just want him out of a job he has proven himself, quite literally, fatally inadequate to be doing.

"He’s a diplomat, even Her Majesty name checked him yesterday, and as such has special status re exemptions to Covid rules. Move on.

Indeed snd when he’s on political business those rules apply.

Snogging and grabbing the arse of his lady friend in the hallways doesn’t count as ministry business.

Actually according to diplomatic protocol in depth personal interactions are perfectly permissible."

Can’t vouch for this one yet but let’s see what comes out in the coming days...

“BREAKING: Matt Hancock's department gave a load of NHS contracts to a company run by the brother of the woman he was having an affair with.”

A diplomat? Are you sure about that? He is the Secretary of State for Health & Social Care. He is bound by the Ministerial Code (supposed to be) but unless he is leading a Mission to a foreign state, he is not a diplomat.

“A diplomat (from Ancient Greek: d?p??µa; romanized diploma) is a person appointed by a state or an intergovernmental institution such as the United Nations or the European Union to conduct diplomacy with one or more other states or international organisations.”

"There’s a huge amount of hypocrisy in the rubber necking over his affair.

So what if he is? Do we know or understand the situation in his marriage?

The sheer volume of people on here that are cheating (most likely at least a few will comment on this thread), we also claim to value discretion and to respect others choices…

I guess that goes out the window when it’s a salacious bit of hot gossip"

Judge by you own standards , personally I don’t cheat on partners, or lie to the nation and I’m not in public office telling people to follow rules and them breaking them myself , and giving jobs to someone with tax payers money then fucking them, or just generally being a slimy cunt on TV all the time

This is really more about standards in public office than Hancock snogging a woman.

1) She is reportedly one of his oldest “friends” and he appointed her as an aide, earning £15,000 per year to work for 15 days.

2) How long has this affair been going on? Did he appoint her at the time he was having an affair with her? What are the chances of friends who have been friends for years and years and suddenly after all those years having a short term fling?

3) it seems that her brother has benefitted from NHS contracts awarded by Hancock’s office. That needs seriously investigating.

He has only apologised for breaking social distancing rules, nothing else. There may be much more behind this story.

It has legs lol

I think they will wait until covid rates are higher before shooting him. So now we get a week of different news. Hiding the increasing rates. Leading up to "freedom" day.

We aren’t doing anything behind each others backs. We like to fuck others right in front of each others faces

And Hancock is a morally redundant, thieving, inept excuse for a human being, who is devoid of intelligence and only in the job because BoJo needed to populate his Cabinet with Brexit supporting yes men who would not challenge him! It was a small pool!

it's good that the absolute irony of the conservative governments totalitarian 'Investigatory Powers Act 2016' catching out the government is not lost on the majority who are decent people. the message is that the extremist politicians in government must careful when wishing to be empowered to spy on peoples everyday lives in order to weaponise their private moments against them. what is sauce for the goose is very much sauce for the gander also.
