I feel for him but if they allowed him a charter flight in it would just cause more chaos with every tom ,dick and harry wanting airspace while the organised evacuation is going on.

Well, the latest on him seems to be this:

"Mr Farthing's charity Nowzad confirmed he and his animals left the country on Saturday without his staff."

"Defence Secretary Ben Wallace has complained some of Mr Farthing's supporters had "taken up too much time of my senior commanders dealing with this issue when they should be focused on dealing with the humanitarian crisis"."

Dominic Dyer said on Twitter his friend Mr Farthing was now a "national hero, of huge public standing". "He is one of the most courageous, dedicated people I've ever met and it's been an absolute privilege to work alongside others campaigning and fighting for him every step of the way."

"Speaking to LBC on Saturday, Foreign Affairs Select Committee chair Tom Tugendhat said: "The difficulty is getting people into and out of the airport and we've just used a lot of troops to bring in 200 dogs, meanwhile my interpreter's family are likely to be killed."

"As one interpreter asked me a few days ago 'why is my five-year-old worth less than your dog?'," the Conservative MP added.

A story that divides opinion, clearly. He left his people behind and used UK military resources to save some dogs and cats.

He's not a hero - he's a cunt.

Is this the same bloke who wouldn't in any circumstances be "leaving his staff behind"!

As i understand it, he chartered a flight, and needed a call sign to allow the plane to land, = possibly preventing anothe plane access but who knows?

The plane could take the staff but were prevented from boarding the flight, even though they had visas= govt fault

Just to ad:

"

He said: "I just found out that is you blocking me getting this flight out of Afghanistan for my staff and the animals. So here's the deal buddy. You either get me that f****** Isaf number and you get me permission to get on to that f****** airfield, or tomorrow morning I'm going to turn on you and the whole f****** country, and everybody else who's invested in this rescue, is going to know it's you, you, blocking this f****** move. Alright?".

He continued: "I will get my staff out of here and I'll get so many other people out of here on this flight and then the dogs and cats are going in the cargo hold. Nobody can sit in the cargo hold, only the animals.""

And like many other UK planes, came back almost empty during to UK bad planning and processing.

Strange we get 15k out, USA many, many more or is that because the US got there shit together and negotiated locally with Taliban to escort both Afghans and thier own into the airport using "alternative" gates.

The ratios are glaring when you look them and about to hit main news as just got out in US media.

UK sat on its hands, Pen's plane left with animals in the hold and lots of spare seats as did many RAF planes, because there was no one through to board them.

Why are some MPs claiming he took up resources of UK troops escorting him and said animals when the truth is this was not the case.

The only resources I can see was an ATC slot incoming and outbound.

Government spinning bullshit to cover up mistakes/incompetence because it looks embarrassing if a guy can do the organisation miles better than the government

The French started in May and finished in July, getting everyone of their lot out, perhaps knowing something the uk Americans didn't
