Loosing Aircraft

It appears Russia ain't for rejoining the West's exclusive club soon.

Appears they plan to re register ALL aircraft they are currently leasing in or to complete the paperwork to effectively 'steal' them.

You may already know, most airlines don't buy planes, they rent them £billions worth are currently trapped in Russia with a deadline of 28th March to return.

The Kemp Treaty is a global agreement to allow aircraft to be impounded, then returned to its rightful owner anywhere in the world. Seems Russia are about to tear this up and refuse to allow aircraft to leave.

They'll be for bargaining chips or continue to used until they fall out the sky from disrepair as did the Iranian civil aircraft in the 80s.

Does, however, look like Russia isn't expecting aircraft financing anytime soon as default means a strike off.
