Wealthy Trump can't post his bond payment

Trump's legal team have stated that he can't post his $454m bond, for his New York civil judgement.

I thought he'd been such a successful business man, that he was incredibly wealthy, by his own proclamations. He couldn't have been distorting the truth somewhat, surely!

He's apparently had trouble finding lenders who'll give him the money

Think he'll be crying out to his MAGA fans, for more dish?

Even the richest bloke in the world Mr musk does not have half a billion laying around to pay a once in a lifetime fine for normal loan agreements, that every entrepreneur use in new York, entrepreneurs are leaving new York because of this ruling, it will not happen to anyone else they say they are not taking the risk. this will not stop him becoming potus.

I am not surprised that he doesn’t have the money as a liquidity issue… I am surprised no institution would take his buildings for example as assets …

In theory because it’s on the company .. I am surprised he has not refinanced to at least sure that at least some of it could be covered by loans…

But because last week he finally found the 100 million he needed for the E Jean Carroll appeal, finding another 500 million would be stretching it

Saying that… no where near as rich as he claims he is!

No… he is not denying its wasn’t unethical.. he was saying it was a victimless crime as everyone got their money back!

Which isn’t quite the point….

He cooked the books to get preferential rates on loans …. If you basically did that on your mortgage application, that’s fraud! …

and the fine is basically the amount that the state has lost out on in local back taxes

I think a lot of the assets are already mortgaged to the hilt already aren't they, then there's all the licensing of his name without any equity in ventures. The tides gone out and shown him for the 'successful' businessman he really isn't

The irony is that to in effect he could get a 2nd mortgage on the properties, but would need to get the permission of the 1st mortgage owners to do so, and they probably aren’t giving the go ahead to do so before the fear of him overvaluing overinflating the value of the properties, which is exactly what he has just been found guilty of doing…..

Anyway.. trump went from complaining about this yet again last night back to an old staple of dog whistling…

This time saying that any Jewish person thinking of voting democrat “hates Israel” and “hates their religion “…. Nothing like a good old trope!!!

But I am sure the defenders of trump will the thru once they see this post

Trump is a five pound millionaire

Up to his eyes in debt, had bankrupted six companies due to inability to renegotiate debt

Remember Alan Sugar interviewed he said he could write a cheque for £100million and it would clear, trump is not in that league.

A good story about Trump's money is from when he did his Celebrity Roast.

Every roastee gets one "out", a subject that is off-limits for the comedians to poke fun at. Most guests pick their kids, for obvious reasons.

Trump asked to take off the table any jokes implying he was lying about the size of his wealth.

It's so weird when random British people start saying this kind of stuff. Like, it's so broad and laughable it's hard to believe they're not joking. It's just so difficult to fathom the level of a mind that finds anything remotely impressive about Trump.

Last time I looked Amsprop had no debt and balance sheet property value at £860million.

Trump can’t raise $450m off his stated $6bn empire, likley worth a third of that, less all the debt.

He’s a five pound millionaire.

Just because someone is rich doesn't mean they have access to money straightaway, that's why their rich.

Why would they keep money in the bank when interest rate is below inflation, it would be like throwing money away.

Money would be tied up in stockmarket, bonds, gold n other long term investment.

That's how people make money, not keeping it in the bank making the bankers rich.

That's true, but also not the point. It's basically a matter of legal findings now that Trump is in the habit of claiming to have far more wealth than he actually has.

His inability to put together an amount of cash equalling somewhere between 4 and 10% of his self-proclaimed fortune (depending on which of his claims you look at) is glaring evidence that his asset pool is significantly shallower than he would like us to believe.

many would be able to take loans against it, allowing them to liquidate over time or repay. I don't think anyone believes he has the cash sloshing around. But the ultra rich have access to things we don't

(It's one way of avoiding CGT. Don't sell your shares at a gain. Get a loan against them. )

From what I've read noone will touch him. Which is no suprise as valuing his assets is somewhat challenging given everything !

He will post the bail, have no fear. He will get it from Deutsche Bank, like most of his loans, because Putin and other Russian oligarchs guarantee his loans. That is why he is such a threat to the West.

My fear is, if Trump can convince the "Freedom loving" Americans (and a group of Brits) to vote for a dictator and want to leave NATO, how long will it take for him to get them comfortable with Russia, China, India and the USA invading Marxist Europe?

"Look, having nuclear — my uncle was a great professor and scientist and engineer, Dr. John Trump at MIT; good genes, very good genes, OK, very smart, the Wharton School of Finance, very good, very smart — you know, if you’re a conservative Republican, if I were a liberal, if, like, OK, if I ran as a liberal Democrat, they would say I'm one of the smartest people anywhere in the world — it’s true! — but when you're a conservative Republican they try — oh, do they do a number — that’s why I always start off: Went to Wharton, was a good student, went there, went there, did this, built a fortune — you know I have to give my like credentials all the time, because we’re a little disadvantaged — but you look at the nuclear deal, the thing that really bothers me — it would have been so easy, and it’s not as important as these lives are — nuclear is so powerful; my uncle explained that to me many, many years ago, the power and that was 35 years ago; he would explain the power of what's going to happen and he was right, who would have thought? — but when you look at what's going on with the four prisoners — now it used to be three, now it’s four — but when it was three and even now, I would have said it's all in the messenger; fellas, and it is fellas because, you know, they don't, they haven’t figured that the women are smarter right now than the men, so, you know, it’s gonna take them about another 150 years — but the Persians are great negotiators, the Iranians are great negotiators, so, and they, they just killed, they just killed us, this is horrible."

I haven't seen any Biden supporters on here. Mostly just people disappointed that the two options are so poor.

Biden is terrible, he only looks vaguely good because of who proceeded him.

Yes, £860m - all wrapped up in property.

He could sell some of those properties and scrape together £100m in a few months, but the idea that he has £100m in cash sitting in the bank just waiting for him to write a big cheque, is ridiculous.

His claim was that he could write a cheque for £100m, and it would clear. He was lying.

Straight talking is one of his attributes, it has landed him in trouble but also gained him a lot of support.

What really annoys the progressive left is how he doesn't play by their rules and no amount of pressure changes that course.

That plays right into his right wing supporters hands, someone who has the balls to stand up to the people they oppose.

I've said this before, his greatest asset is the people who try and put him down at every turn, they promote him every time they do this and they never learn.

Yeah… not sure buddy understands

He doesn’t have to push up the entire 454 million in cash…

He could for example get an independent appraisal of any one of his properties, and put that up as a bond if he doesn’t have it all covered by other mortgages…

For example…. Trump keeps trying to tell the world that Mar-a-Lago is worth 1.5 billion dollars……the local authority for that area , key west, say the property is only worth 150 million tops….

If he can get an independent valuation that is worth that after whatever mortgages are outstanding Then the court is would take that…

Same for trump tower

Same for 40 Wall Street

Same for 120 avenues of the Americas

Same for each of the golf clubs he owns.. for example bedminster, dorral, heck… how about turnberry in Scotland!!!!

It’s not having to find 464 million from one bond holder… as the New York ag and others have pointed out the amount can be spread out over as many bond holders as would be required.. be that 2…. Or 4…. Or8… ect ect

The fact that they are claiming they have been to 30 different establishments and he can’t raise the funds minus mortgages raises so many red flags!

Also… don’t fall for the claims that this has been sprung on them, they have known how much the New York AG has been wanting in court for 18 months! They know the basic “fraud” element has been decided 5-6 months ago… don’t you think they should like any good business have been preparing for the worst just in case!

They didn’t have to do anything there and then but don’t you think they would have deals lined up if they had to find the total amount!

In effect at the moment it’s personal debt and done under state law, so he can’t just wish it away…..

I would not be surprised in the slightest if he declared himself bankrupt… remember if anyone put up the bond for him, they are the people liable, and they would need to then get back the money probably via the courts from trump knowing how litigious he is (probably another reason why people won’t lend to him)

This is just bonkers. Even the most Trumped up, disconnected from reality Trumpeter wouldn't claim he's "straight taking". He rambles all over the shop. I posted a quote from him above about Nuclear power. Just batshit crazy ramblings of a narcissistic madman.

"What do the Mr Biden supporters like about Mr Biden and why should he be potus.?"

Because he achieves things despite the Republicans trying desperately to stop him at every turn. Because he picks a team who do what is right for the USA NOT for him, like D J Trump.

The economy is great, Unemployment is low, the stockmarket is high and he even negotiated a reduction in drug prices. The border is only a problem because the House of Representatives will not even discuss the bipartisan Border Bill because their Lord and Master (DJT) tells them not to.

The Infrastructure bill was so needed and well liked by the American people that Republicans who opposed it vehemently from the start claimed they had done it.

Biden is administrating with a skilled experienced team. Trump is a grifter who surrounds himself with incompetent sycophants bouyed up by MAGA cult members who give their hard earned dollars to a grifter so he does not have to pay for crimes executed before he even ran for president.

How would you feel, what would you think, if Risi Sunak asked Conservative votors to pay for crimes he commited in his business life?

No, this is state law, not federal, so he can’t do anything about it, legally.

Even with the immigration bill… it was basically written by republicans, gave republicans almost everything they wanted AND didn’t link it to any concessions regarding dreamers, was supported by senate republicans and a fair few house republicans… and was going to become law right up until trump said no!

"The deadline for the dosh is next week and there's a suggestion that assets may be taken fairly promptly. "

The process will be started promptly… the actual assets themselves won’t be taken if needed till after the appeal (don’t want to in effect do a firesale as you won’t get proper value for them) so what will happen is that the AG will basically lodge with the court the intention of which properties they will go after first!

What the court may decide to do if they claim poverty, is to take business as collateral in escrow

So, just to make this quick distinction: I believe the general issue isn't that he doesn't play by the rules of the progressive left, but rather that he doesn't play by the rules of the US Constitution, the rules of Federal law, the rules of States laws, the rules of International law, the rules of the diplomatic corps, the rules of civilised discourse and common decency, the rules of the Bible he claims to believe in, or the Golden Rule.

Of course there will be a huge amount of people who respect him for the above, I'm not debating that. Some because they too aspire to live in a basically lawless society (apart from the ones that benefit them, of course), and some because he annoys the people they wrongly believe are their enemies. I just take issue with presenting it as any kind of intelligence or courage.

Trump has a supportive electorate that will more than likely put him back into the most powerful role in the world, this you have no influence over, and as I mentioned in my original post, the more people attack him the more he is supported.

It's true that the people who elected him in 2016 are unlikely to have been deterred by his actions in the intervening eight years, and that their support becomes more galvanised when they see him receive criticism, although should he lose again it's arguable he will do less damage than he did last time he lost, by dint of not being in office at the time.

I'm more interested to see what happens to the Republican party in the longer term.

What do you think would help Americas not to vote against their own interests?

Bill Majher explained this. Many evangelical Christians support Trump because, in order to be EC, they have already suspended their belief in reality.

"What do the Mr Biden supporters like about Mr Biden and why should he be potus.?

Even with the immigration bill… it was basically written by republicans, gave republicans almost everything they wanted AND didn’t link it to any concessions regarding dreamers, was supported by senate republicans and a fair few house republicans… and was going to become law right up until trump said no!

Argument not being the bill was bad for the American people… but because he didn’t want it sorted before the election!

Party before country and he doesn’t deny it!

That’ll be his apparently lauded “straight talking” again!

He is ticking the right boxes for the voting public of the US, and I’m going to invest heavily in tissues, I think there will be a run on them post November

I’d love to bet you but I suspect you may be right! Both sides need some fresh blood for POTUS candidates not two characters from Night of the Living Dead!"

The thing is on both sides of the Atlantic people have become obsessed with personality whereas true leadership means building a team of people who can and do get things done.

Biden has built a team around him that is getting things done for the United States of America and he has (and will continue) to build and strengthen that team.

Trump built a team of sycophants around him (2016-2020) and many of those same people have since turned on him because of what they saw. Just recently Trump has taken over the Republican Party and ousted people deemed “non-believers” and replaced them with people who only needed one quality - to be MAGA extremists. He would do the same from next year if he gets in again and more and more people are seeing the writing on the whole.

I think it will be a very bad day for an America, a very bad day for the rest of the world and a total catastrophe for Ukraine if Trump wins. I remain hopeful that the American people will do the right thing come November and give Biden a second term.

Well, firstly last time he won it wasn't what the majority of Americans or even the majority of voters wanted.

Secondly being popular and being good for the country is not the same thing. Surely you must accept that.

He didn’t win the popular vote in 2016 and he didn’t win the popular vote in 2020. Now, there are a sizeable chunk of former Trumpsters who will simply not vote for him again.

Has he found new voters through his tactic of division and whining? Or are the Haley voters now never-Trumpers?

See … here is an interesting titbit

Trump and his lawyers are at the beginning of the week were trying to plead poverty and say that no one would give them the money to cover the 455 million dollar loan….. however on a post on “truth social” this morning trump was claiming that he has 500 million dollars in cash… hmmm

So either:

A) he and his lawyers have been lying to the courts in effect to evade the bonds

B) he has been lying to the public and his supporters and using it to grift extra money for his campaign through emails

If it’s A… he could be in a world of trouble, where who made the bond payments on his behalf is normally not made public… a court could appoint officials to see if what he had been telling the court was true ( the 30 different companies turning him down) … and the court could order the bond payment details to be made public “in the interest of the public” (ie has it come from overseas)

This makes no sense. If the majority of people want to be punched in the face, does that mean it's a good thing that everyone gets punched in the face?

Surely it's better if no one gets a fist to the chops.

I think it will be a very bad day for an America, a very bad day for the rest of the world and a total catastrophe for Ukraine if Trump wins. I remain hopeful that the American people will do the right thing come November and give Biden a second term.

It wont be a bad day for the US if Trump becomes president, because that is what the majority of Americans would have wanted, surely you must accept that?

He didn’t win the popular vote in 2016 and he didn’t win the popular vote in 2020. Now, there are a sizeable chunk of former Trumpsters who will simply not vote for him again.

Has he found new voters through his tactic of division and whining? Or are the Haley voters now never-Trumpers?

It is down the voting public of the US who they decide to be their next leader, and I for one will respect their vote.

Unlike Donald Trump.

The people have the last say

It's the electoral college, actually dude. If it was the people, Trump would never have got within a hundred yards of the White House."

We shall see where the people put their vote in November...

Of course Mr trump had the money for the bond payment, the entrepreneurs of new york are seeing how corrupt the system is towards them with threats of frezzing and selling assets, the appeal will take years before it is heard by which time new york will be a ghost town void of entrepreneurs.

"What do the Mr Biden supporters like about Mr Biden and why should he be potus.?

Both sides need some fresh blood for POTUS candidates not two characters from Night of the Living Dead!

Assets are only worth what an investor or bank are going to lend against, a bank or investor will do due diligence in looking into this before lending, and if the bank makes money from it which they did there is no crime or victim. Election interference is what is happening.

"

What fraud, Mr trump put assets up for consideration for loans, the banks then look at the assets and risk and act accordingly and counter offer, they did not take his word of the value of the assets they were looked at and an offer was approved which both parties accepted. Banks are banks because they are there to make money.

You really have not been paying any attention to the hearings at all have you!

When even Fox News and Newsmax are telling house republicans the hearings have been an absolute disaster, embarrassing and they need to just make them all go away, you know it’s been bad…

So to sum it all up…. Every single witness bar one said not links between hunter and his dad… the one witness who they were relying on went on the run, the found out he was being charged with lying to the FBI, then added charges of him spying for the Chinese… meanwhile the rudy associates who talked about the laptop, said it was all a hoax, and he was being used by the Russians to feed disinformation to congresspeople….

Then this weeks hearing democrats were so confident this is falling apart so much, they made the motion to take impeachment out of committee and on the main floor for a vote (republicans are in the majority on the committee so it was basically put up or shut up) and even the republicans wouldn’t

I know buddy is way past help… but for the rest of you … think about this

They have been doing this investigation for 18 months… do you think if they had anything criminal they would have impeached and charged him criminally by now… with a republican majority in the House of Representatives! … I mean, all it would take would be one piece of Republican Party discipline and every republican member to vote for it…

Remember the phrase “high crimes and misdemeanours”

The purpose wasn’t to say trump was innocent, it was to say Biden was as bad as trump!

The more public hearings they have the more of a shambles it’s become…

Trump did acheive things during his time in office. Whether those things are beneficial are subjective dependant on your own personal leanings.

Besides, the President doesn't actually write law or spend money, just as our Prime Minister doesn't

He tried to collapse Obamacare for the poorest Americans but cutting funding. But it backfired, and there ended up being more money available and more healthcare for the poorest people.

It's a long explanation, you'd have to go and read it.

But it's an inadvertent tangible benefit for Americans.

Might be the same as here where policies introduced help some in society but not others so I suspect some done well out of him. Not sure if he took overseas military action as much as other presidents but the back and forth tirades with north Korea were interesting. Remember the 'My red button is bigger than yours'

That’s answering a question without actually answering a question….so let’s answer the question

He basically gave everyone a 3 trillion dollar tax cut….actually, when I say “everyone” 99% of the benefits of that tax cut went to him and his rich buddies.. when I say “rich” I mean those earning more than 1 million dollars a year!

But that’s a good thing for all those rich folks .. yey! Obviously there was a surplus in the budget.. and that tax cut came out of the surplus… right?

Well… erm…. No! Tax cut on top of debt! Not fiscally sound (fun titbit for you… you know the say democrats love to spend, and republicans are always clearing up democrats spending issues… well in the last 40 years.. only Obama and Clinton have actually lowered US debt… Obama was neutral, Clinton actually ran a surplus! Trump, bush 2,bush 1, and Reagan as the 4 biggest deficit operators in US history!)

Anyway, so what else did trump achieve… well he did put 3 people on SCOTUS.. but that was more a case of 3 justices dying!

He took the US out of the Paris climate change agreement…. But since the US actually sets its own target, and there is no actual penalties for not achieving it… I am not sure why he did that!

Erm.. other than that… not a great deal!

This is where the word “technically” is going to do a lot of heavy lifting… so let’s try a do it simply…

Did trump try to basically gut “Obamacare” ( the Affordable Care Act) from the inside by taking out things that could not be covered…. Yes!

Did they then take the case to the then scotus saying because stuff had been taken out it was then unconstitutional… yes!

Did they win that argument… no

Did they then try to nullify the legislation via congress… yes

Did they succeed… no ( by 1 vote.. probably one of the finest acts done by John McCain)

Did have a replacement for the affordable care act ready to go…. No (which is why McCain voted against!)

Do the republicans and trump have a replacement scheme for the Affordable care act… no (trump keeps telling us he has a solution that is much much better…. But it’s been 3 weeks away from being announced since basically 2015!)

The inadvertent benefit… the ACA booster which means if so many people sign on, that states basic healthcare insurers get extra money to help cover those people …..

And who needs to actively this.. the states themselves via the governors of those states via the state legislatures….

So surely.. this helps everyone.. it’s federal money so not coming out of your budgets and it helps the poorest… they have all signed up.. right?

Nope…. Whole bunch of ruby red republicans states still refuse to this day to sign up….

Fabio thanks for good replies.

To clarify for folks like Leroy, I deliberately didn’t say who would benefit. In all things political there are winners and losers. I just wanted to know what he actually achieved as surely that should be the measure for whether he should get a second term. From what I have read so far he was a failure and achieved nothing (or took from Peter to pay Paul and Paul is too stupid to realise the overarching impact).

If he had achieved great things (regardless of whether they were ideologically against your beliefs) then it is understandable why those who benefitted want more. But he appears to have achieved almost nothing! So why the support?

the democrats have a long history, discrimination, defended s lavery started the civil war founded the kkk, imposed segregation, lynchings fought against the civil rights initiatives of the 1950 60s, and the stench has not changed, in contrast to the 'GOP' republicans, who fought fight against everything the democrats stood and still stand for.

"Of course Mr trump had the money for the bond payment, the entrepreneurs of new york are seeing how corrupt the system is towards them with threats of frezzing and selling assets, the appeal will take years before it is heard by which time new york will be a ghost town void of entrepreneurs.

By that logic everyone who has never lied on a mortgage application would refuse to ever have another mortgage because one guy who did lie, and was caught, is being punished for his fraudulent activity.

Assets are only worth what an investor or bank are going to lend against, a bank or investor will do due diligence in looking into this before lending, and if the bank makes money from it which they did there is no crime or victim. Election interference is what is happening.

A judge says your wrong and that's that....

Until the appeal is heard many many years from now the judges decision is not final and could be overturned.

He'll hopefully be in jail by then for one of his other crimes

One or two of the Biden family will be incarcerate before that happens.

Come on Buddy, own up hombré. You are just stiring the pot here, arent you?

You cannot be mad enough to really believe the pro-Trump, anti Biden propaganda?

You cannot be mad enough to really believe the pro-biden, anti trump propaganda?.

"

You don't have to believe the propaganda.

You just open your eyes and see two tired old men, one who lets educated people do a pretty good job of running the country and another obnoxious spiteful old git that must embarrass every US citizen on a daily basis and of course Putin has his hand inside the puppet.

Surely out of 300+ million people there has to be a better option....

"Can anyone tell me what Trump actually achieved during his presidency that provides tangible benefits to the American people. I’m not saying he didn’t, I honestly don’t know.

Trump did acheive things during his time in office. Whether those things are beneficial are subjective dependant on your own personal leanings.

Besides, the President doesn't actually write law or spend money, just as our Prime Minister doesn't

Not sure how to react to the last paragraph. Like erm yeah thanks for mansplaining that Feisty mate, but you know I am smart enough to not need that right? "

Oh dear.

The Democrats and Republicans switched positions in the 1930s after Roosevelt's New Deal coalition and policies (the Republicans regarded the policies as "socialism") - it was the Democrats who began to institute civil rights laws to remove segregation, and then signed a number of other civil rights, social welfare and labour laws into existence in the 50s and 60s, via Truman, Kennedy and Johnson. They moved even further left in the 70s and 80s, as the Republicans moved further right...

...your statement is misleading, in parts incorrect, and the holes are glaring - to be frank, you COULD have checked what was what for yourself, but I suspect I know why you wouldn't/didn't.

Why was asking what Trump achieved a stupid question? Unless you are saying he didn’t achieve anything therefore it is stupid to ask, which in turn must mean anyone who supports him as a good candidate for POTUS must also be stupid as he lacks any track record of achieving anything! Is that what you are saying?

I'm saying asking what a singular person within an organisation has achieved is stupid. You know as well as I do that a singular person cannot acheive anything. That's Biden, Trump, Obama, Bush etc etc.

If you really did want to know 'an' answer to your question, you could've researched.

If you ask stupid questions you may well just get stupid answers

Why was asking what Trump achieved a stupid question? Unless you are saying he didn’t achieve anything therefore it is stupid to ask, which in turn must mean anyone who supports him as a good candidate for POTUS must also be stupid as he lacks any track record of achieving anything! Is that what you are saying?

I'm saying asking what a singular person within an organisation has achieved is stupid. You know as well as I do that a singular person cannot acheive anything. That's Biden, Trump, Obama, Bush etc etc.

If you really did want to know 'an' answer to your question, you could've researched. "

Again.. that’s really an answer without giving an answer… sounds good says no much…

See… here is the thing….

As president trump is the default leader of the Republican Party…

In 2016 when he took office… the republicans also had a majority in the senate AND a majority in the house

They held all the levers of power from November 2016 till the midterms in 2018…. They within reason could have passed major legislation

They decided the most important thing for them was to expend all this political capital they had to in effect pile new debt upon outstanding debt by giving his buddies a 3 trillion dollar tax cut……

That was the keystone legislation when in effect they had all the power and democrats has none!

Everything else is really mood music.. he tried to take away healthcare from the poorest, tried to roll back on environmental protection including that Paris climate change agreement, named 3 new SCOTUS judges because 3 died….

You could make an argument that politically Mitch McConnell was the person pulling most of the strings, and that is why trump dispises him!

Avoidance or having a life away from the forums and away from Fab perhaps? Saying that your nonsensical answer didn’t really warrant a response and was frankly confusing and I don’t care for riddles. If all you can come up with is undid what the others did, then that doesn’t really amount to a hill of beans.

I went and had a look for his achievements. Here's an exmaple:

Trump signed a law to make cruelty to animals a federal felony so that animal abusers face tougher consequences. ????

"True. A bipartisan group in Congress also deserves credit for the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act."

The bit in quotation marks is my point, even if he was president, someone else will always be credited with it alongside him.

The NYT have a whole list which starts with 'true, but'.

Nasdaq Rose from 6235.90 to 14271.46 during his time in office. A true measure of Trumps success in running the economy . Pension fund managers and those living in the USA are hardly going to be complaining about his success . Complaints are the preserve of the woke loving privledged elite who are a very small section of society. Trump vowed to make America great again and did exactly that. Well maybe it is MY eyes as all I saw was a scripture reference (as I don’t know the bible that is useless to me and a rather esoteric answer) and “Removed everything the dems put in place, the fight is still on going.” which is too non-specific to have a meaningful conversation about.

Another useful response, thanks Pat. What actions was it that the President and US Federal Govt took that the markets responded so positively to? Was that the closing rate or did it hit that peak mid-term(ish)?

See it doesn’t have to be that hard to get a straight answer.

Gotta say though, live the segue into tractors. A nostalgic throwback to a previous persona of yours

A detail response you did not ask for did you, all you asked was what did trump do in his tenure of potus while the dems were pulling up paid for fabricated lies of russia, that is without the impeachment they desperately tried to push, I'm not a copy and paste guy like some, I will say again the 'first step act'. They don't like Mr trump because he is not a career politician who plays their game, maybe this country needs some of that, Mr farage is the same the establishment don't like him either, because he gets the job done or is it because he his friends with Mr trump and they don't want the boat rocked. It is desperation from the establishment George Galloway getting back on the bench and the media political outcry should show you that if you care to look.

The reason why democrats had not passed a criminal bill was because it was actually not republican policy! (If you REALLY want to have this discussion we can do that…. I suggest you do a lot of reading!) and the last criminal reform and justice act that was passed before that was the Brady bill under Clinton! Oh which because a lot of the bill, especially the gun legislation bits had sunset

Clauses in it.. they elapsed under Bush 2… (like I said.. if you really want to have that conversation… we can do it!)

As a lot of democrats said at the time, take the small win towards something bigger… that’s why they could stand behind whichever president signed it!

DJT has risen 40+% in opening trades this morning. Trump owns 60%, so he’s had a very profitable day so far. He probably won’t take the time to consider how he is regarded on this forum.

"

The reason why democrats had not passed a criminal bill was because it was actually not republican policy!

This bit is confusing?

The Dems didn't pass a bill because it wasn't Rep policy?

Are you saying Dems would have passed something that was Rep policy or that Trump went against Rep and passed something that was neither parties policy?"

Let’s put it this way…. Everyone realises something needed to be done, democrats wanted to go a lot further with reform in general that the republicans did… especially with the scope of what had been achieved with the Brady bill….

So anytime a member much grander bill was proposed looking at criminal justice in general, republicans would oppose it!

Think of it like this… buddy (and republicans in general) wants to looks at just the border security…. Democrats want to then look at that within the scope of broader immigration reform

Now everyone agrees that something needs to be done regarding immigration.. for example, is there a legal path to immigration for those already there illegally? What do you do about “dreamers” (the children that came here or were born here to people who came to the us illegally… who can in theory work, be in the army ect.. but at the moment have no legal path to citizenship) ect…

The first step act was an easy win because it show trump could get something done within the first 100 days that most people could agree on….

That is why Biden for example chose the lily Ledbetter fair pay act for women… which meant women had to be paid the same rate as men for the same role in federal jobs…. Like I said, an easy win because most people can agree…

But trying to get a federally mandated legal minimum pay rate act is almost an impossible goal because republican objections

But trying to get a federally mandated legal minimum pay rate act is almost an impossible goal because republican objections "

Which ties in nicely with what I said in the beginning, NO ONE PERSON CAN GET ANYTHING DONE. Only I was accused of answering without answering

"Nasdaq Rose from 6235.90 to 14271.46 during his time in office. A true measure of Trumps success in running the economy . Pension fund managers and those living in the USA are hardly going to be complaining about his success . Complaints are the preserve of the woke loving privledged elite who are a very small section of society. Trump vowed to make America great again and did exactly that. The Deere Corporation have made a great contribution to farming life.

*closing rate as in at the end of Trump’s presidency"

So if that is the case…. Since the Nasdaq is currently at 16420… give or take a couple of points, do we then Biden credit now?

Or we could look at job creation figures…. More jobs created in Obama’s last 3 years than trump’s first 3….. more jobs created in bidens first 3 than trump’s first 3…..

I deliberated left out the last trump years so Covid could not be used as an excuse…

The reason why democrats had not passed a criminal bill was because it was actually not republican policy!

This bit is confusing?

The Dems didn't pass a bill because it wasn't Rep policy?

Are you saying Dems would have passed something that was Rep policy or that Trump went against Rep and passed something that was neither parties policy?

Let’s put it this way…. Everyone realises something needed to be done, democrats wanted to go a lot further with reform in general that the republicans did… especially with the scope of what had been achieved with the Brady bill….

Which brings me back to the first point I made….

Between 2016 and 2018 … trump had a republican majority in both the house and the senate…. You didn’t need democrats to help! So within reason any major legislation could have been passed within reason

And he chose the tax cuts!

First step act didn’t “need” democratic votes…. Making it bipartisan meant it got through house and senate a lot quicker!

Let’s compare that to Biden… senate majority, house minority…. And Biden still managed to get an infrastructure bill through even though 3/4 of the republicans in the house voted against it!

Irony being that a shit load of those republicans who voted against it and now crowing about how they brought extra infrastructure money home to their districts as to why they should be voted for in November

For example… MTG has a little airport in her district, which has been given money to improve facilities and expand… now she is saying she is the reason they got the money!

Who's comparing? Certainly not me.

What you're saying is 'Trump' did actually do some things but because its things you don't see as beneficial then we can just ignore what he did.

Go and have a look at the NYT list and see just what he did, but....

MTG is no different to any other politician in that regard, they all take credit where it isn't really due.

"the democrats have a long history, discrimination, defended s lavery started the civil war founded the kkk, imposed segregation, lynchings fought against the civil rights initiatives of the 1950 60s, and the stench has not changed, in contrast to the 'GOP' republicans, who fought fight against everything the democrats stood and still stand for.

But what did Trump achieve?

Removed everything the dems put in place, the fight is still on going.

Can you actually list anything? What you are saying seems to contradict what Fabio has said.

The first step act previously posted.

Who cares what Fabio says, the truth will set you free.

John 8:31 32.

Quoting scripture now… how fancy…

Not that it’s shows much…. I think it’s called question avoidance….

I thinking it’s interesting that you quote the bible, when mr trump when after having his troops clear protesters in Washington for a church photo op , held his bible upside down!

answered the question posted, no avoidance, but no response from the poster of my answer I gave twice to the question. Talk about avoidance not on my behalf.

Avoidance or having a life away from the forums and away from Fab perhaps? Saying that your nonsensical answer didn’t really warrant a response and was frankly confusing and I don’t care for riddles. If all you can come up with is undid what the others did, then that doesn’t really amount to a hill of beans.

A far better response with context. Thank you Mr B.

I am not commenting because this wasn’t about whether we agree or proving a point. I was/am just interested on perceptions of his supporters. All opinions are valid.

So if someone does not respond to your demands and supply a copy and paste detailed statement you go off on one and come out with childish pet names and you don't like the Mr either.

Do you look in the mirror.

Have you looked at the 'first step act', I'm guessing no, there are videos on the tube of democrat supporters gushing in delight and agreeing with policy enacted, thinking they are dem policy when they

are in fact enacted rep policy.

Sense of humour bypass Mr B? Oh dear lighten up. After all you are a Trump fan so you can’t take life that seriously surely?

You did go off on one with childish pet names, you do have form for it.

Circle jerk topics are an amusement to read and respond to. "

Happy to have form. Nothing wrong with a few childish jokes. Can’t all be long in the tooth Mr B and ultra serious about all this on a swinger website now can we! That would be rather silly. I could say “you started it with your B friend comment” but I won’t…ooops
