"No more £1.5m a year of our license fee on the loudmouth gobsh*te Lineker.
His ratty post really overstepped the mark."
Another anti-semitic Labour supporter bites the dust. Sadly, there are many of these who think this kind of racism is acceptable. It's so thinly disguised as support for Palestine, but it's transparent to anyone with intelligence higher than amoeba. |

Amazes me that the BBC thinks it’s okay to spend millions of the licence payers money on these clowns.
It’s not like there’s any shortage of people in the UK who can talk about football. Lineker is pretty easily replaceable. |

This, and additionally because those on the hard left think they're so virtuous, always believing they're on the right side of history while totally unaware of their own prejudicial blind spots. |

A centrist friend of mine once said, "If the shouty far right and far left all buggered off, things would be a lot quieter. Then the rest of us in the middle can bimble along in peace".
I can't fault the logic to be fair. |

Dont know why they just stopped with big ears, i thought match of the day was much better when they all went on strike and it was just showing the football with the crowd noise, and no talking heads after each match discussing what everyone had just watched |

Nobody in media should be getting that kind of money. Exactly how many people does the old duffer have influence over these days? The less said about Zoe Ball the better. The idiots at the Beeb increased her salary by a huge amount a few years ago just to make their gender pay gap figures look better. It was like a 400,000 increase or something stupid. |

His video announcement summed up his stupidity.
He clearly says that he would not have shared the offending post if he knew the content was wrapped in antisemitism.
I would expect anyone with his reach and influence to be ultra careful in what they repost, to avoid this very thing. |

"My confusion is why is everyone so concerned what a football pundit says?
Are people's politics going to be swayed by what a footballer says 🤷🤔"
I think it’s 2 things…
1. The idea that he’s paid for from the licence fee which is public money to all intents and purposes
2. The BBC is meant to be impartial. They aren’t of course, but when they claim they are it kinda sticks in some people’s craw that one of their highest profile presenters blasts racist messages on social media. If it was the head of British Gas and a different race, there would be rioting in the streets if they didn’t resign. |

It isn't necessarily being swayed to think like him. People see him in the spotlight supporting things they think, that leads to them trusting him and that comes with responsibility. |

Israeli lobbyists have finally got him, or he set himself up either way he has stood down and will turn up elsewhere on even more money.
This shows me how influential Isreali lobbyist are over our media and government.
But now as they threaten more murder and our politicians are getting evermore unpopular over this subject, they have finally made some statement that they should of made a year ago. |

Well nobody on this thread is influenced by him so they either think the rest of us are easily influenced by him or...not. |

If you don't know just say so. |

Since you presumably have intelligence higher than amoeba, how do you differentiate someone supporting Palestine, and someone being antisemitic? What’s the cut-off point?

A good starting point would be the IHRA working definition of antisemitism - while not without criticism, it's widely accepted by many governments and organisations.

I was asking the poster for their cut-off point, thanks |

He shared a post including a rat and a and text on "everything wrong with Zionism".
It could almost directly be compared to someone sharing a post with a monkey emoji and "everything wrong with BLM". Not the worst thing in the world, but it would get a senior BBC member sacked if they were already being called out for more public political leanings. |
