The Dutch coalition government has collapsed after Geert Wilders pulled his Freedom Party out due to lack of progress on imposing tough immigration curbs.
Wilders wants to stop all new asylum claims, and return Syrian “refugees” to Syria given the new government there.
It seems the chaos in Europe is set to continue until the chasm between politicians and the electorate over immigration policy is closed. |

PR isn't about stable government, it's about having a government that attempts to represent and somehow balance the conflicting opinions of a diverse electorate.
It's messy but if all you value is stable government then you can end up with the likes of Ali Khamenei, Alexander Lukashenko or Vladimir Putin. |
