Will Trump run for VPOTUS in 2028?

"Trump likes to wind up the Lefties.
He does it very well."
at the moment he seems to be doing a fabulous job of winding up right wing nut jobs over some secret files about his recreational activities with close friends |

"... and then stay in the post until he drops dead?"
Naa,, I don't think the geezer would have the energy for another term, I'll settle down on one of my big beautifully golf courses, they are so big you can see them from the space of American, and space is big so its got to be good, that's what I reckon he will say. |

"No.
22nd and 12th amendment prevent this from happening,
really? the closet fab expert has spoken!"
Ah, I see so you have either bought into the conspiracy, or you are unaware the the 22nd and 12th amendments are in place to prevent a former POTUS being a POTUS for a 3rd term.

what an odd thing to say. if a statement had been posted then fair enough, but your reply comes across as a moronic conclusion to assert when someone asks a ligitimate question ... but then the righties ability to think is limited to one dimension. |

What was the legitimate question? |

I think some of Trump's people were looking at him running for VP as a ploy to get around the 22nd Amendment but the 12th Amendment says " no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States" so they'd still need a change to the constitution. |

Exactly this and that is a step too far, even for Trump. |

you don't think he instead might test the interpretation of the relevant ammendments in the SCOTUS, considering the several wins that he's had going down that route? most notably recently the ruling allowing him to bypass both houses and empowering him to totally gut the education department? |

I'm sure they are looking at all possible means, but even the current SCOTUS would have difficulty interpreting the constitution as being that bendable.
Some kind of emergency situation could I suppose be concocted to keep him in power for a short while, but he'll be 82 by then and will at some point pass away so the forces behind him will be looking for a new guy.
I have no idea who that might be though. Any thoughts, everybody?

The support needed to amend the US constitution doesn't allow triviality to exist.
To put it in perspective, there has been approx 11000 proposed amendments 27 have been ratified.
Those with mild to severe TDS need not worry, the bad man wont be doing a 3rd term |

What sort of state is the US going to be in, after a few more years of his current sitting? . Would the people want him around?
He might have already had his peak, with decline in support for him, in future |

Not legally possible but he’ll enjoy winding people up by hinting at it. He might be an idiot but he’s very good at playing to the crowd that support him and in the process, winding up those that don’t. |

I like Donald Trump, no secret that. But I wouldn’t support him standing for a third term. Two is the maximum in the US, and I’m not in favour of a sitting President changing the constitution to further his own agenda.
I don’t believe that he will even try to do it, it’s just leftist propaganda. |
