No.
I didn’t watch Kimmel anyway. Why would I?
I don’t think anyone else did either. So it seems odd that millions would be cancelling when he didn’t really have millions of viewers.
Even the few who cancel will be back next month. |

"Millions are cancelling their subscriptions to Disney+ because of the political interference of The White House, and the Suspension of Jimmy Kimmel. Have you cancelled your subscription?"
Poor Disney... First the right cancels their subscriptions for being too woke and standing up to republicans. Now the left cancels them for being McCarthyist Trump acquiescers. |

Jimmy Kimmel averaged 1.8 million. He was cancelled because he joked about the wannabe God King DJ Trump NOT because he had low ratings.
Trump put pressure on the MAGA FCC chairman who threated to pull the broadcasting licences of affiliated companies to ABC.
Thus before ABC announced it was halting Kimmel's show, two companies that own a range of ABC affiliates, Nexstar and Sinclair, said they would be preempting his show. They needed FCC approval to buy $8.1 billion of other regional broadcasters.
If you support this action by Trump you support the fascist government he has already put in place. |

“Fascist government” lol. If you think Trump is a “fascist” you don’t even know what the word means.
Do you people ever listen to yourselves?
Kimmel’s audience in the key advertising demographic was down 75% over ten years.
I mean to be fair to him it’s in part just indicative of how viewing habits have changed. Lots of the US networks have been laying off expensive hosts who just aren’t any longer worth the multi million $ salaries for what they deliver to the network owners.
The decline has been exacerbated by them only bothering to speak to the half of the US that votes for the Democrats. If you only bother speaking to half a country then you can’t be that surprised when your ratings tank.
It’s an open question as to whether Kimmel was looking to get canned, or whether he really has no idea what he is talking about. It could be either, given the ideological silos that these media types live in. |

Reform haven't been voted in yet. There's a fair way further right it can still go."
I think politically the western world is shifting back to more right leaning / conservative ideals away from more open minded / loose liberal ideals. It’s just a game when you look at historical wise. X |

Thank God that's been settled. Now everyone can sign back up to Disney. I personally pick up all my movies and TV shows from the stuff they leave around on the internet, but I do realize that my system only works if other people pay. |

The meaning of the word Fascist - Fascism is characterized by a dictatorial leader (i.e. D.J.Trump), centralized autocracy (He has placed his incompetent obedient lackies in as the head of all the elements of Government), militarism (He has sent the National guard and Marines [against the wishes of the state Govenors] to various cities), forcible suppression of opposition (e.g. Using the threat of cancelling their broadcasting licence to get a comedian, Jimmy Kimmel, cancelled plus suing all and sundry who do not bend the knee to Trump), belief in a natural social hierarchy (Trump wants to have a third term or will want one of his sons to "inherit" the presidency. He naturally believes that people with vast wealth should control the country.), subordination of individual interests for the perceived interest of the nation or race (He knows the cost of the tariffs is born by the American people, who will also feel the impact of helthcare cancellation. However, he views the Rich of the nation and his corporate supporters and billionaires, should benefit from tax cuts as they, and they alone, represent the nation.), and strong regimentation of society and the economy (e.g. Like all wannabe dictators he needed a group to be the enemy. So he chose Latin American migrants. The suggestion being when they are gone there will be more jobs for poor Americans. Trouble is the average American will not do what immigrants do, so the economy suffers)
So there. The definition of fascist and why Trump fits that mold.
Only this week one of his MAGA people withdrew the mandate for childhood MMR vaccination because it interfered with the rights of the parents. Pity they did not see that forcing a woman to carry to full term a deformed foetus, a rapists child or even a dead foetus was the woman's right to decide what medical treatment was appropriate. |

I see Kimmel is back on TV, so can readily be enjoyed by the 0.5% of the US population that watches his show.
I guess a handful of British Leftists will now have to force themselves to watch it for ten minutes in support, until they realise what unfunny drivel it is.
Seems like Trump is the worst dictator ever. “Literally Hitler”, but can’t even get an unfunny comedian that nobody watches taken off air. |

Quite right, sail the seven seas with a VPN and a torrent client. And don't pay YouTube with your time, watch add free with SmartTube. |

Plus Disney has just announced a price increase for next month. Looks like I'll be saving even more money. |

Kimmel viewing figures since his return:
23 September return after suspension lifted: 6.48 million
September 24: 2.43 million total viewers.
September 25: 2.30 million total viewers.
September 29: 2.85 million total viewers.
September 30: 2.51 million total viewers
October 1: 1.70 million total viewers, a 74% drop from the return episode.
October 2: 1.90 million total viewers, a 71% decline from the return episode.
In the key 25-54 advertiser demographic, the October 2 episode drew only 265,000 viewers, an 85% decrease from the 1.7 million on September 23.
Disappointing that the Leftists who were so angry about his treatment by Disney have rapidly dumped him and moved on to this week’s Big Thing.
How long before he quietly gets shelved again? |

While the return episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! following his suspension drew a massive, one-time audience of over 6 million viewers, the show has now settled back to its previous viewership levels. For context, in the second quarter of 2025, the show was averaging about 1.77 million viewers. Post-suspension, the viewership numbers have dropped from the initial peak and are now hovering around 1.7 to 1.9 million viewers. This indicates that while the controversial event generated a huge, but temporary, spike in interest, the show's core audience has returned. It is still performing competitively against other late-night shows, for example, on a recent Tuesday, it led The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in both total viewers and the key 18-49 demographic. This trend shows a return to stability rather than a sustained failure to hold onto the massive new audience from the comeback episode. |

His show saw a 50% drop in ratings from January to August 2025.
It’s just a matter of time.
Still, he’ll have banked a few more millions by the time he gets canned again. |

?I appreciate you shifting the topic, but it appears you're still misunderstanding how TV ratings work.
?The drop in viewers from January to August isn't unique to Jimmy Kimmel. It's a normal, seasonal trend for all broadcast television. Research from Nielsen and other media organizations has confirmed that viewership for linear TV consistently declines during the sunnier summer months as people are on holiday and spending less time in front of the television.
?This trend affects all types of shows, not just late-night talk shows. For example, popular soaps like Coronation Street and EastEnders, which consistently attract millions of viewers, also see a significant decline in viewership during the summer months.
?The reason for this is simple: there are fewer new shows or sports events to keep people tuning in, and people are doing other things. This trend is a normal part of the TV business and has nothing to do with people's political affiliations.
?Your argument continues to rely on taking data out of context to fit your narrative. |

It has something to do with how the site encodes the info. My guess it has been set to just replace things it doesn't recognise with the ?, instead of just deleting it |
