This has been trending on the internet over the last couple of days.
The government funded a media company to make a game that discourages kids from taking up far-right extremism. This backfired big time.
1) The serious side - The game implies that even doing research about immigration statistics could take you down the far right path and one must avoid it. Overall the game seemed to err more to the side of caution that ended up like the message is shut up and listen to whatever the government tells you on this topic and don't try to do anything else, or you will end up being a far right extremist.
2) The funny side - For some reason, they decided to use a purple haired egirl comic character as an anti-immigration protestor. Turns out that the internet community generally finds the egirl cute and they have made her a right wing icon with memes being shared on X and Reddit
Looks like yet another case of the government showing that they don't understand the pulse of the people and are totally out of touch with reality. |

"Honestly, it shows how totally out of touch the political class are with the target market.
We wonder how long the website hosting the 'game' will stay accessible."
There were rumours that the game is going to be taken down. But it's still on the website. It's fun playing though. |

Try getting anything done with government IT. Clyde, the only sysadmin (trained in the '90s) will be on a lunch break and not doing anything that requires more exertion than eating a Mars for three weeks. Cousin of the BOFH. |

I think this is through Prevent which seems ideologically committed to presenting a mythical far right as the greatest terrorist threat when stats show it is overwhelmingly Islsmic terrorism. |

"It seems to suggest that attending pro-Palestinian rallies lead to radicalisation.
Does it? 🤔"
It doesn't specify which march "they" (he) go(es) to. Except that it is about pushing out people that they don't feel belong there. Well, "from the river to the sea" sounds like it fits the bill. By all objective measures of "bad" in that game, we should be reporting anyone who attends a pro-Palestinian rally. |

That makes sense. I don't think they thought through this when they made the game |

That bit seems correct then."
It would... But although it had all of the hallmarks of a pro-Palestinian rally, they called it a right wing, anti-immigration rally. |
