It is weird that governments are happy to have internal discussions on systems owned by third countries. I have always wondered why they were happy to do this. Apparently they are now wondering the same.
It would not be a massively difficult problem to put together a viable conferencing system from open source codecs etc. A joint GDS/GCHQ collaboration could put something together for the UK pretty quickly I would assume if they were given a bit of freedom. |

Teams is owned by microsoft not America. Microsoft is listed so owned by all of us with pensions or investments! And very strongly audited by uk based big 4 as well as SOX.
Do you think we'd allow Donald Trump to hack into it ?
What surprises me more is people on here happy to trust there personal information and nudes to a privately owned Russian platform ( Telegram) with widely criticised built in controls to limit encryption on group chats so they can harvest all the content.....
