Starmer has done a fine job. It’s clear from Badenoch’s idiocy today that she’d have had us at the spearhead from the first moment. The first military bodies would probably be passing through Wootton Bassett by the weekend.
Farage too would have followed his American buddy off the cliff edge and to hell with the consequences. |

‘US defence secretary, Pete Hegseth, on Wednesday signalled a longer time frame for the conflict than has previously been floated by the Trump administration, saying it could last eight weeks but that the US has the munitions and the equipment to beat Iran in a war of attrition. “You can say four weeks, but it could be six, it could be eight, it could be three,” he said. “Ultimately, we set the pace and the tempo’
Jingoistic amateurs with no end plan. Keep out of it.

I’m a floating voter at the moment and will all but certainly vote tactically at the general election.
The left seem to support Iran and the right seem to support military action. In not sure there’s been much difference between the individual leaders themselves other that the greens openly supporting the Iran regime.
I think it’s easier in opposition to adopt a stance that’s harder to adopt in government tho. |

"Badenoch and Farage would have shown more support.
Polanski would have shown more support, but for Iran.
Ed Davies would have done a bungee jump."
They wouldn't have known as trump only knew when Netanyahu told him to come to the party..
They would have spotted some Colonel Blimp linguistic blether about we shall despatch the foot guards by jove..
Send the Navy now..
Polanski is a humanist though he has odd views on many things, hes a bit of a cuddly woolly cardie and sandal wearing pacifist..
On Ed Davey spot on but wearing DPM and a pair of mess tins on his Web belt.. |

The Greens are not openly supporting Iran. What a nonsensical comment. |

You’re entitled to your opinion, I’m entitled to mine. If the deputy leader of a political party attends a demonstration in favour of something and the leader says nothing about it publicly, it’s safe to assume he shares that viewpoint. |

"And just to clarify, if you’re against people stopping someone from doing something, you’re advocating for it to continue. "
The deputy leader attended a stop the war protest, not a pro-Iranian rally.
Military action isn't the only way of stopping someone from doing something. |

So you’re advocating continuing an illegal war
Did you know that in 2003, 54% of Brits supported war in Iraq? And yet now you never meet anyone who says ‘yeah I was in favour of it’

I doubt very much if any of his critics now opposed the Iraq war, the tory Party didn't either..
Recent polls are in the majority of not being in favour of America and Israels initial actions too..

I'm uncertain that any of the other leaders could have done much if anything, that's better than what Starmer has done this week.
For all his faults, he's reasonably good at being measured and steadfast. |
