The lovely Spring weather has seen 1000 people (almost exclusively young men) cross the Channel in less than a week with no apparent effort from France or the UK to stop them.
Social services in many counties struggling to meet the costs while crime in some towns and cities is surging.
Will this issue sink Sir Keir at the May elections? |

UK's Border Security Chief Martin Hewitt resigned from the job this week just 18 months after being appointed by Sir Keir.
Yet another disastrous Starmer appointment having to take the blame for the PM's incompetence. |

Looking at flightradar 24, the French have a small airplane flying up and down there coat looking for small boats, and the uk has a plane going back and forth in the middle of the channel spoting them so they can be picked up. This must coast so much. |

Do they take any action to stop them though ? |

No the coast guard meet them half way I guess and pick them up.
The air craft are up most nights searching. |

Thanks, what I guessed. |

You gov voting intention has Labour at 17%. (22% a year ago) a further 23% slide over the past twelve months.
Here in Plymouth the Labour council chair and four Labour councillors (39 Labour) have said they are not standing.
Six more weeks of spring weather bringing more small boat arrivals, fuel prices increasing, and other bad news won’t be good for government support. |

"I read that the gangs even set up a new branch in Belgium. So much for smashing them "
There was a plain covering that part of the coast last night not seen that before. Now that is a long boat journey. |

"I read that the gangs even set up a new branch in Belgium."
If that's true, it's evidence that the French are actually doing something to disrupt the gangs. It might not be obvious to us what they're doing, but if it causes criminals to move to a different country, then it's having an effect. |

The UN predicted 1.7m more migrants entering Europe by 2070. Elsewhere someone’s studies suggest climate-related displacement could drive up to 1 million migrants per year towards Europe by the end of the century. Both estimates prior to the recent and current wars.
If the UK is only getting 40k, how many more are there in France and elsewhere that will attempt the crossing. |

Europe needs a united military force to close all external borders. |

"And thanks to the fat cunt in the whitehouse you will be welcoming tens of thousands more from Iran.
I'm sure the OP will be personally thanking trump for these extra doctors."
Actually Iranians are very well educated, unlike most of the fake asylum seekers we take in. |

Sounds like a blatant ground invasion to me.
They should get a disused container ship find out their nationality pop them on with a bag full of goodies/snizzle, like a bobble head figures of Charles n Camilla, soap on a rope, a cuddly toy, a tooth brush and paste, some sox, a packet of miniature playing cards, and a box of condoms, as a gesture of goodwill and drop them off back to where they came. It would be alot cheaper and polite.

"Put our warship in the channel and take them back.
They are escaping France there is no war there."
Asylum is nothing to do with war. People only qualify for asylum if they are fleeing persecution. Running away from bombs is not considered to be a valid reason for claiming asylum. |

In the UK running away from France is also considered a valid reason. |

Uk war ships do not have access to French water once the small boats are in UK water the people on them are the responsibility of the UK.
And that is the problem. |
