Two under 16 year old girls sexually attacked and filmed in Fordingbridge by a group of boys aged 14 and 15. The sentencing I consider is shockingly lenient, no custodial, no registering on sexual offenders register. Just rehabilitation orders and curfews, which indicates the judges sentencing was more about the perpetrators than the victims. It also has no deterrence for others. This just indicates that the justice system offers no deterrence or protection to our daughters and grand daughters.
This is truly sickening or have I missed something, when I was 14 and 15 I was fully aware that what happened to those girls was wrong. I'm sure they did as well as they even filmed the attack as well. |

Far too lenient and I seriously hope an appeal is made and that judge gets reviewed |

The judges comment that he should avoid criminalising them is obscene..
They did that themselves already ..
It sends out so many wrong messages to other victims of that vile crime and needs reviewing ASAP.. |

I've already raised a complaint on the government website, it takes less than minute to do and I hope others do the same. I hope it gets reviewed.
Two lone girls on two separate occasions which were filmed clearly showed they knew what they were doing and it was wrong. |

I don’t see how the punishment even remotely meets the crimes. Two young girls who’s lives have been irrevocably harmed and their attackers are told “none of you need to go to prison today.".
Something is fundamentally wrong with the sentencing system if this can be an outcome of multiple, planned gang r apes. |

The politicians want to pretend like they have some elitist view about morality that the rest of the plebs don't understand.
Build social housing next to the homes of politicians and put murderers and r&pists in there. Watch them increase all sentences immediately. They are doing this now because they never have to face the consequences of the decisions they are making. They are living in secure neighbourhoods while letting criminals run around freely in the rest of the country. |

Our politicians and judiciary are soft on criminals as are the " prison doesn't work " group. We need more prisons and proper punishment and loss of liberty. Get criminals off our streets . |

This is the point of view of the victim:
"
Speaking exclusively to Laura Kuenssberg, the girl, now 16, said: "What was the point in putting me through that?"
The girl, who spoke anonymously alongside her family, said the judge's decision "almost made it seem as if what the boys did was not OK, but it was OK in the eyes of the law because they were still children".
"
The judge has to be fired for such ridiculous sentencing. |
