Yes it does seem to be being covered quite widely in the UK media. I am surprised as there was very little reporting of the delays in the trials due to ill-health. |

In 1973 touring Ireland our Hillman Imp's head gasket failed just outside Longford. We spent 3 nights camping by the banks of the Shannon. Never forgotten the beauty. |

I fail to see what his religion has to do with the crimes he has allegedly committed. He and his wife devoted most of their lives to politics in Nortern Ireland. I believe the point is that Unionists/The DUP want UK laws in NI, except when it interferes with their "politics", such as: abortion, same sex marriage, Irish language |

Same sex marriage is legal in NI and unfortunately so is abortion. Some Unionist politicians continue to frustrate any meaningful engagement or respect for the Irish language. |

I know both are legal in NI but DUP resisted, held up same sex marriage implementation for many years via a principle of concern vote. Re abortion; DUP voted to have stricter abortion rules vs. GB.
My point was while saying they want to have same rules as GB, in practice the DUP are happy to hold up, have different laws to GB.
Irish language is a clear example; dual signage in Scotland, Wales but a "hug" issue in NI for Irish signage. |

I don't recall the Scottish and Welsh government's chipping in for the ransom demanded by Donaldson to prop up the May government but the point was made earlier that Donaldson played the UK card when it suited him and the NI at other times.
His Presbyterian religion is a matter of fact, is well known and by wearing the Ichthus he was clearly making his Christianity public.
In my view, which I suggest is shared by many, to then be charged with alleged crimes which are so adverse to Christian teachings is of public interest.
Yes of course the jury may find him not-guilty in which case he leaves court a free man. |

Labour, Cons and reform etc all have different philosophies around abortion and religious freedoms etc but all want to remain within the UK so what's your point ? |

There is nothing wrong with different philosophies; there is a difference when you vote to have rights available to UK citizens in GB to be not available to UK citizens in NI, due to NI's politicians holding up the implementation due to their particular concerns about abortion, same sex marriage, language.
