Whilst Murrell and Sturgeon feature on all the tabloids let's not forget those who are or certainly should be under investigation for tax fraud or misuse of public funds.

Of course, there is also the Post Office scandal where it seems that those who should be receiving compensation are likely to die of old age before anything happens yet, those in charge, like Harding and Mone, disappear from the public eye (and headlines) to enjoy their millions in peace.

I guess that it all depends who you are, what contacts you have and what the news owners decide should be the focus for the public.

I don't think for a minute that Murrell is not guilty or that Sturgeon sailed through her married life blissfully unaware of all those new toys appearing but, his embezzlement is tiny in comparison with the billions that were wasted on track and trace or the millions wasted on PPE equipment and that "fast lane".

Thank you for pointing that out - very clever of you

Now, have you anything useful to say about the subject matter rather than me?

Two entirely different scenarios . Morrell committeed fraud involving tax payers money over a fifteen year period. Civil action was taken against PPE Medro and it was ordered to pay £122 million in damages. The materials supplied failed to meet the standards for certain uses but were suitable for others. Morrell committed blatant fraud. During the Covid crisis we had to acquire PPE ASAP. By taking prompt action the government saved many lives.

Absolutely - it was supporters money that was embezzled.

During the COVID crisis we had to aquire PPE and the government saved many lives - agreed.

During the COVID crises we had to acquire PPE and many in the government saw a way to line both their own pockets and those of their cronies by giving contracts worth tens of millions to newly formed companies that had no experience in the medical supply field. Their profits were vast and many other fnthe goods supplied were not fit for purpose.

Mine is simply the tip of the iceberg.

Test and trace was an absolute disgrace. A syst m they never worked properly and contracts handed out (again) to cronies.

The UK test and trace system failed to do what it was set out to do.

In EU Europe the systems worked (and were offered to the UK) and cost a fraction of the money they was spent in the UK.

Yes - lives were saved but many more lives could have been saved had the government not seen COVID as a benifit in kind to line their own pockets along the way.

The post office scandal - qnscandal it really is and those in charge still walk free with their big paychecks and pensions whilst those who were accused of theft wait (likely in vain) for some form of justice.

That's in business; in politics it's all about WHAT you know about who you know...
