"Okay so the Ukraine is dragging on with no end to hostilities
"
Putin will eventually die.
"
And the Iran war , the one stated by trump for no real valid reason and with only vague objectives and no end in sight."
Major escalation over the coming hours/week, involving more of the region. |

Ukraine now a major disrupter. Putin can only hope to gain control over his people until the war is brought to an end. He will never ever take Ukraine back.
Iran should give up now. USA firepower will cause decades of damage. |

Trump won't really care about either of them, as his cryptocurrency and other grifts keep pulling in serious dosh for him. Iran could easily continue beyond the midterms, as the economic hits to the rest of the world escalates.
Ukraine could be resolved earlier, even if Trump doesn't get much from it. Certainly nowhere near as much as he thinks he deserves |

Putin will be forced into doing something drastic. Frontlines are stagnant but damage to his economy jeopardises his position with Russian people. No quick win seems likely but a desperate move like using tactical nuclear weapons is a possibility.
Iran has shown itself to be far more resilient that the US/Israelis expected. The US has depleted its stock of smart weapons to a frightening level and may fall back to Vietnam era carpet bombing. A similar shortage of interceptor missiles may will force an early withdrawl of US assets.Trump will not commit ground forces for fear of excessive casualties. An embarrassing withdrawal is his best option. Claim victory and walk away and let the rest of the world clear up his mess. Ultimately Trump has exposed the US military as being far less effective than trumpeted and this will gave been noted by the likes of China and North Korea. |

You do get the feeling that Putin is losing his authority. Most.. me included.. thought this was a 26 week war. I feel there will be a concession of a little Ukrainian soil then Putin will claim victory. Trumps folly ? He has sacked most of the experienced generals. Told us this war was over 12 times, that Iran was destroyed yet on it goes. He has fucked up and in normal times would be kicked out in disgrace, funny how getting a draft dodging coward to lead you has not seemed to be the best idea. |

It will be interesting to see what happens in Iran now that Israel announced it wants no part in the conflict unless it is close to ending.
The military pact just completed between Israel and America looks like the Israelis are having their cake and eating it. |

Yes my thoughts exactly, I think it was Israel's intention to get the USA and Iran in a war then sit back.. and can see it ending badly for everyone
As for Putin .. flipping heck.. as others have said if he's desperate then tactical nuclear weapons are a big deal indeed.
I'm also not sure how zelenski can keep going along with Russia with the casualty rates |

"The Strait will remain in Iranian hands and Trump will walk away claiming victory after making a bad situation worse than anyone could imagine. The US will be watching over its shoulder. "
I hope so. As soon as possible too. |

Ideal situation.
Ukraine: Putin is overthrown (or dies) and a new more pragmatic leader in Russia calls a halt.
Iran: Iranian people take advantage of the mad mullars weakness and overthrow them. Iran becomes a democracy.
Worse case scenario.
Ukraine: Ukrainian attacks on Russian infrastructure backs Putin into a corner. He responds with tactical (or worse) nuclear weapons.
Iran: Trump loses interest. The mad mullars strengthen their position and gain permanent control of the straight of Hormuz causing serious damage to western economy's. Freedom to carry on with their own oil exports to fund international terrorism.
Take your pick.

""The Strait will remain in Iranian hands... I hope so"
Well, I certainly DON'T. They'll hold us ALL to ransom."
Whereas Trump’s plan to charge people protection money to use the strait is any different? |

Putin will die eventually and be replaced with someone who ends it .Trump will come to the end of his term of office and be replaced by a proper president. The world will breath a sigh of relief . Until then it's busy as usual |

Ukraine will carry on for as long as Russia is happy to send conscripts and migrant soldiers into drone kill zones.
Iran, you're guess is as good as ours. We'd say a year or two more until the US either gives up or grows a paid for a land invasion. It's stuck now otherwise. |

Ukraine will win it, it would of gone quicker but now when they dont need permission and can use their own weapons it is just a matter of time, they are very efficient, putin is looking for an exit strategy, iran dont have the military strength to win a prolonged war, so they will have no choice than to give up too. |

I think you are underestimating Iran, and also assuming they will approach it from what we would consider a rational perspective. |

Putin is definitely on the backfoot and Ukraine is thankfully prevailing. On Iran. It’s a question of how long Iran can weaponise Hormuz. Analysis done by The Economist today suggests that Iran will be able weaponise and monetise Hormuz for some time yet. Bad news for Trump whose polling is being badly affected as a result of this war with Iran. He’s heading for a drubbing at the midterm elections in November ( assuming they happen) |

"Okay so the Ukraine is dragging on with no end to hostilities
And the Iran war , the one stated by trump for no real valid reason and with only vague objectives and no end in sight."
Like most modern wars they will drift on, become a forgotten war of attrition, stay newsworthy until the next shitshow raises its head.
The population may take things into their own hands and try to survive on a day to day basis but it seems there is never a winner, only unequal losers, especially if the counties involved started as undesirable, undergoverned and mostly unknown.
Look at recent history of places with war, conflict, upheaval whatever word suits and very rarely fo you see a success story from the ashes of conflict. |

America will have a negotiated cease fire with Iran which involve billions in funding for Iran and easing of long-standing sanctions all to save face.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine will dissappear from main stream media as Russia slowly eventually overuns Ukraine causing Ukraine to be broken up eventually, EU nations will sit back as sanctions against Russia have already destroyed the German economy.
If Putin were to die his likely successor would be want to speed thing ups and just decimate Ukraine and perhaps even attack locations within the EU seen as "at war" with Russia due to weapons manufacturing etc |

"
The territorial picture is:
* Gained since 24 February 2022: approximately 73,000–75,000 km², equivalent to about 12% of Ukraine.
* Already controlled before the full-scale invasion: roughly 7%, principally Crimea and parts of Donetsk and Luhansk.
* Gained during the latest 12 months: about 2,800 km², or 0.5% of Ukraine.
* Recent movement: only tens of square kilometres per month. Estimates for late June to late July 2026 put Russia’s net gain at approximately 25–40 km². @20-30k Russian casualties per month
Excluding Crimea, Ukraine covers approximately 576,600 square kilometres.
On the basis of one casualty/km2 another 600k mobilised to achieve this. On the basis of 4.5 years to gain 20% territory, another 19 years. |

The argument being made by NATO generals is that NATO couldn't match Germany in a conventional war and were scaremongered into believe Russia is a threat to other NATO counties borders but simultaneously were told Russia is on its knees and basically fkd. I just wonder which is true. |

Yes i think there is a lot of scaremongering to keep the profits rolling in, plus the UK needing a boogie man to keep us in tow. Both in terms of political and material |
