Clacton By-Election

As the residents were initially chosen by Farage, for it being massively favourable for him to stand for election in, (after failing for many years to not lose consistently), he is likely to be reelected. This is at massive - avoidable - cost to the UK, when the last election was for a 5 years period. He obviously doesn't care about anything else but himself - certainly not what the public money could have been better spent on instead! He's rolling in it, so has no care for what poorer people might need as support from this wasted (by him) money.
Binface would get my vote. Apparently he supports 99 ice creams being forced back to costing 99p  . Farage would support payments of 99 £million to himself, however it gets to him. He'd probably be happy to have Clacton residents £99 million poorer, if he could get it. |

Just seen a party political broadcast from space by Count Binface on you tube. Very funny but also quite inciteful. The other clowns don't seem to have come up with anything as meaningful as yet. Hope dodgy Nige gets stuffed this week. |

It seems that the other parties are too cowardly to contest the election. At least he is giving the electorate a chance to express their opinion of him. We will know what they think shortly. Democracy in action. |

If he wins he is guaranteed to be investigated and rightly so. There are 34 candidates so voters are not restricted to Farage or the bin guy. As regards to the cost, although I understand the concerns, it seems hypocritical that several of those who complain about the cost did not complain about the cost of the Makerfield by election or the resulting mayoral election |

But as for "... Clacton will choose who they think will help them the most", Clacton voters don't give a monkeys that as an MEP he did absolutely nothing - unless signing on in Brussels or Strasbourg to get his daily allowances or once a month screaming "Juncker you're d*unker heh heh heh" counts - and as a Westminster MP he's done even less.

Farage will be able to point at those votes cast for Binface and say that each one comes from a Labour or a Tory or a Liberal voter that was denied their actual choice because their party refused to put up a candidate against him.
While you will see humiliation for the man standing on the stage, right wingers will see humiliation for the people that can't be seen because they were too scared to turn up. |

The other parties are not cowardly. They chose not to enter the farce created by Farage. This is self serving politics. His claim to be a man of the people is a farce. Nothing in common with ordinary folk when saying he could buy ferraris with the 5 mill. Needs to get a grip. A reduced share of the vote would be a deserved humiliation. |

You misunderstand me. I'm not saying that the people are being denied a vote, I'm saying that Farage will spin it that way, and that people will agree. I'm saying that the other guy is wrong about this being a humiliation for Farage. |

It's the other way round. When Farage called the election he was taking a risk. It only became a farce when all the other main candidates pulled out. The farcicality was created by the other parties.

It's a crass thing to say when taken out of context. But at the time he was being interviewed by a man called Nick Ferrari.

Last time round he got 46.2% of the vote. It'll be interesting to see whether the anti-Farage crowd all turn out to vote for Count Binface, or whether they all stay at home. |

You misunderstand me. I'm not saying that the people are being denied a vote, I'm saying that Farage will spin it that way, and that people will agree. I'm saying that the other guy is wrong about this being a humiliation for Farage."
Nige to be fair to him is styling this out as well as can be expected but the old adage of “choose your battles carefully” will resonate with him for the rest of his political career. |

TBH I’m not bothered about the BS that the other parties are spinning about not standing candidates. Name me a political party that does not deploy some form of bullshit spin to further its interests? But I’m still finding the whole Farage v Count Binface hilarious. It’s so Monty Pythonesque and appeals to most people’s sense of humour in this country. I appreciate you disagree so we’ll disagree agreeably. |

Waste of time and money, the only reason the main parties haven’t fielded a candidate is fear.
Every man and his dog is complaining about Farage and the moment chance to remove him from parliament appears, it’s passed off as not playing is game.
I can’t see how anyone can complain after this.
