Nikki Haley was the only one with her hand up at the vote regarding recognising Jerusalem as the Israeli capitol.

I listened to her rebuke to the un, and am staggered at the hypocrisy, and the hard line view she takes on this issue.

Trump mentioned an American embassy in Jerusalem would be a monument to peace.. Wtf?

What do you fabers take on this?

It's a Geo political alignment, trump couldn't give a rat's arse where the capital of Israel is, I doubt he could even point to Israel on a map.

Benjamin netanyahu on the other hand has always been keen on Jerusalem as the capital as it helps the ever increasing the push East.

So the real question is what's in in it for the USA

Just incase anybody missed it (likely as the mainstream media have largely ignored it) there's a purge going on in Saudi Arabia and the old Saudis were allies of Israel

It is not even about that...

It is classic misdirection.

Trump is not bothered about Muller, he knows that whoever replaces him will him and his cronies pardons...

What it is about is money, he has a time limited opportunity to defraud America (and much of the world) between now and his removal. He is systematically asset stripping and bankrupting the USA in the same way as he has asset stripped and bankrupted 6 US corporations for his private gain and the gain of the international and US organised crime organisations he fronts and money launders for.

Ancient Israels Prophets fore told of this , that the House of Judah and the remnants of Israel would be gathered in in the last days from the four corners of the earth and given the land of their forefathers again, they also said they would retake Jerusalem their Holy city and that a powerfull gentile nation would be their protecter and like a nursing mother to Israel...

They also foretold that Israel would be surrounded by enemies bent on her destruction in those latter days, more so when Jerusalem become the capital of the House of Israel again...

Saudi Arabia has never been an allie of Israel. In fact you can't even enter Saudi if you have an Israeli stamp anywhere in your passport. If anything this new guy is less religiously motivated than his predecessors and may well take a far more pragmatic line on the whole Arab Israeli issue.

Well that's one interpretation of the book of Revelations but not one generally accepted by most Christian denominations.

Maybe we should also discuss whether the EU is the rise of the New Roman Empire or Angela Merkel the fallen angel or possibly even the Whore of Babylon. Or maybe we should just discuss the facts and leave weird, mystic prophesies well out of it?

Most 'End of Days' prophesies are Christian based and usually from quotes, or mis quotes from the Book of Revelations so I don't think so but even if so I doubt many if any recognised Jewish faiths would accept that interpretation.

You err greatly, thru out the time of Christianity, its the common held view that the Jews would return to the land of their forefathers in the latter days, and that they the powerfull gentile christian nations would protect them and be as a nursing mother to them..

But as another has rightly said I was speaking about the Ancient Israelite prophets whom fore told these things, as for the Book of revelations it was written by John a Jew whom was a close friend of the Saviour and it completely agrees with the old Israeli prophets on the latter days concerning bot Jew and Gentile....

Just as well we're still not pissed of over the fall of the Byzantine Empire and 4 of the 5 original Christian patriarchates (Antioch, Alexandra, Jerusalem and Constantinople) during the original Muslim/Arab take over that started this whole rollercoaster off. FYI Rome is the remaining patriarchate.

The kingdom of Israel was long before Jesus or the Christian religion was even thought of.

Of course Jerusalem wasn't the capital of the kingdom of Israel even back then, it was in fact the capital of the kingdom of Judah, Jewish proclamation was the unification of the two kingdoms, of course once the Romans got there and threw out the Jews of their own homeland and renamed it Palestinia they've been pretty fucked off and vowed to reclaim Jerusalem as the capital of the unified kingdoms of Abraham of which God himself promised it to him and his children.

Due to the current situation though, all i can see is trouble., just to what extent of violence remains to be seen.

I just hope we don't follow the American lead or do as were told like we've done in the past.

Nothing.

But its been a dog whistle for ages amongst the peculiar bent of Christian in the states what want the end times to hurry up and happen already. And their representatives knew that, so they could ask for it, knowing full well it'd never happen, but they get kudos for asking anyway. Win-win.

But Trump is literally so fucking stupid he can't recognise dog whistles and just went ahead and made it happen, because he believes it'll make people like him. That and a health dose of "fuck the libruls" which is the guiding light of his base.

It's painfully obvious what Trump is doing.

He's deliberately trying to fan the flames of Islamic resentment, so hopefully there will be a few more terror attacks, which he can use to galvanise his position.

Chucking stones, bricks and the odd molotov always gets the same response. I'm sure there's several teams that have a shift rota because it pretty much the same everyday. No let up, the palestinians hate the Israelis with a passion learnt from birth, they pretty much want the jews driven out from the Mediterranean to the Jordan River. Doesn't matter what's done or said it's pure hatred. It's always been there. There is no compromise, there is no solution, there is no deal. If there was it would have been agreed years ago.

I just keep asking myself why are Jewish people so persecuted, if it was previously nazi Germany, why palestinians now.

Perhaps read a history book. Jews have been persecuted long before Nazi Germany.

The situation in Jerusalem may have had something to do with us deciding in typical colonial style (see also: the partitioning of India) to give land occupied by one lot of people to another lot of people, forcefully. It's bound to upset people, however well intentioned it was.

Just going to ignore the last comments and say this: this is not the first time the US has stood alone at the UN.

Just last night I happened to come across hours of video footage detailing how the US, ably assisted by the UK and sometimes FRance, has over the years, played and messed up the middle east.

Lots of evidence pre Saddam, during and post Saddam eras.

I won't hold my breath on the US standing alone. History points to the other direction.

To be fair I'm pretty Pro Palestinian, the Israeli state is quite obvious in its intentions to expand and remove non Jews from within its borders.

That being said the Palestinians don't help themselves, there a cluster fuck of religious idiocy.

The reality is there'd be more likely to have better and more human rights under the repressive Jewish state than under any Muslim one.

"Just going to ignore the last comments and say this: this is not the first time the US has stood alone at the UN.

Let's be honest only China are up to the task.It seems inevitable they'll get their turn.

If it wasnt for Russia, Syria would be like Libya or Iraq at this moment. Assad would be dead by now. Its the same old Cold War bullshit being played out again and again.

As I said earlier, they are so stupid when a neighbour is being fucked to shreds, they keep silent because they think its not their problem.. nay probably because they've been promised alliance or a bottomless supply of weapons in order to rule whatever enclave they find themselves in.

By the time these puppet leaders find out its all a game, they are either being hauled to the Hague or they are off to fucking Timbuktu to seek refuge .

It was the only place on earth were the 12 tribes of Israel could offer sacrifice and was the capital of the House of Israel and its temple its only sacrificial place allowed by God for them...

Even at the last destruction of Jerusalem and its temple in ad 70, the House of Israel and portions of its 12 tribes still dwelt in and around Jerusalem...

I agree on the religious basis , however, thats based on religious grounds and also

The UN security council doesn't recognise that and passed a law to make the Israeli claim null and void.

Basing the claim to Jerusalem on religious beliefs, to me isn't a sound one, nor is three jews promising it.

Its actually on historical grounds not just religous grounds, the muslims whom contest this are well aware that the promises given to Abraham concerning Jerusalem and the surrounding areas was given was not given to Ishmael the father of the arab nations but to Jacob the father of the 12 tribes of Israel...

Abraham was the father of both the House of Israel and the House of Ishmael, ...Ishmael being the illegitimate son so he had no birthright, the birthright and the inheritance went to Jacob the legal son whoms sons were the 12 tribes of Israel..

As stated the Arab moslems are well aware of this as they accept the bible prophets as sent from God...

As for the UN security council they matter not as long as the USA stands by Israels legitimate and historical right to their forefathers country...

And whom can gainsay the USA or little Israel that defeated the arab nations in just seven days...

Agree power and greed are also main reasons but the main sponsors of those campaigns were either the church religious leaders or people claiming to be acting on behalf of the. . Ie spain in south america and the inquision uk the cruisades and france against the uk

The curch in rome.

The middle east all against each other for the oil and other riches but all suposedly in the name of freeing the population . If you haven t noticed the countries around the world where there are no riches ie minerals or oil are just left to fight amounst them selves without any outside assistance or interferancefrom the church.

Also the majority of run down property and povity riden areas are owned by churches or numerous shell companies owned by them.

I know this will proberbly lead to a rather heated ddbate but freedom of speach is the only thing we truely can call our own for now but who knows this may change too.

She's not saying that. She's saying most wars [in the 20th century] were caused by atheists and Marxists (I personally would go with the term secularists) and she's actually right about that. In fact you could probably say the same about the 19th century to.

I don't agree with her historical argument that the Jews have a legitimate claim over Palestine because they lived there 2000 years ago. If you were to accept that argument then you would have to also accept that Scotland, Ireland and Wales have a legitimate claim over England because they (the Celts) were living here 2000 years ago. Maybe England should also lay claim to Northern France, parts of Germany, Denmark and Norway on the same bases.

As for the religious claims, I don't think we should take notice of those at all because, if we do start to go down the religious justification for actions, there is a rather nasty Christian anti Semitic explanation for why the third temple was destroyed and the Jews were expelled from their promised land, and we really don't want to go down that route again.

That assumes that these are in fact the latter days. Mystic or religious Prophesy is no sound bases for making any rational decision. If the prophesy is true then it will happen regardless of any action anyone takes and if it's false then it makes no difference and should be totally ignored.

The numbers do not lie. Trump simply speaks it. He can't help himself.

I repeat: the numbers do not lie.

Here are some facts of life:

Islamophia exists on a large scale.

Homophobia exists ...

Racism is alive

Xenophobia is thriving

Sexism exists in wicked guises.

Trump, who is the physical embodiment of his voters AND supporters all over the world, simply is too honest. He cannot afford to lie to himself.

I'll give you an example. Somebody is caught stealing alcohol from a shop. Depending on that person's sex, skin colour, perceived religion etc, public opinion and or treatment of that person is different.

" why the fuck would a woman nick alcohol? What example is she setting for her kids?"

" what the fuck is a fucking Muslim going to do with alcohol. I thought they didn't drink"

" fucking black tea leaf, why don't you go get a job?"

" oh he is white eh; if he had been black/brown/yellow, all hell would have broken lose. Fucking deal with him".

" fucking piky pole/ Romanian, etc, you come here and want everything for free, fucking go back"

I can keep going.

I like trump. No surprises. A lot of people will NEVER employ a gay person as a childminder. A lot will not employ a black/white/brown/yellow person to do anything; period!

Trump speaks his mind. It is up to you to position yourself accordingly. Let's face it; he is a very powerful man.

If I were in his shoes,,NO BRAS FROM THURSDAY TO FRIDAY. keep morale high at the work place.

"Religion teaches us the Ideal to Whom we all aspire. Christ has sacrificed Himself for all mankind. Who will dare to deny such assertions?

Marx continues .." "Therefore, unity with Christ internally exalts, comforts in trials, and makes the heart open to love people, not because of our pride or thirst for fame, but because of Christ."

"Ancient Israels Prophets fore told of this , that the House of Judah and the remnants of Israel would be gathered in in the last days from the four corners of the earth and given the land of their forefathers again, they also said they would retake Jerusalem their Holy city and that a powerfull gentile nation would be their protecter and like a nursing mother to Israel...

They also foretold that Israel would be surrounded by enemies bent on her destruction in those latter days, more so when Jerusalem become the capital of the House of Israel again...

You err greatly, thru out the time of Christianity, its the common held view that the Jews would return to the land of their forefathers in the latter days, and that they the powerfull gentile christian nations would protect them and be as a nursing mother to them..

But as another has rightly said I was speaking about the Ancient Israelite prophets whom fore told these things, as for the Book of revelations it was written by John a Jew whom was a close friend of the Saviour and it completely agrees with the old Israeli prophets on the latter days concerning bot Jew and Gentile...."

I really couldnt give a rats arse about some magical words and what a magical 'all powerful sky daddy' said to some or an, individual millenia ago.

What bothers me is the lack of geopoltical progress in recent decades.

Just seen the news where Trump will withdraw aid to un members that vote against American decision.

So if threats like that to influence votes, then whats the point of the un?

Incidentally, i also saw a documentary, including interviewing ex cia operatives on how intelligence was fabricated to invade iraq. Shocking!

" In the latter days the major atrocities and bloodshed have been caused by atheists and marxists...

Russia,China, korea, vietnam and other marxist states for instance the Godless there murdered over a hundred million people in a space of a few decades...

Yeah, because Christian militias in Central Africa aren't killing anyone...Neither are ISIS....

She's not saying that. She's saying most wars [in the 20th century] were caused by atheists and Marxists (I personally would go with the term secularists) and she's actually right about that. In fact you could probably say the same about the 19th century to.

No she isn't.

Your assertion about the 19th century is pretty special though. Please tell me about secular regimes the 19th century..... "

The two biggest wars in the 19th century were the Napoleonic Wars and the American Civil War. Most of the other wars in the 19th century were wars of conquest or independence. Few, if any and non that I can think off, were religious wars.

This game has always been played but historically with more finesse so that those being played can save face.

The USA is handing it's international influence away as quickly as the UK is.

China and Russia will happily pick up the slack.

I thought you only cared about yourself.

How does this help you?

What is it about Trumpy that makes you support everything he says and does without criticism?

Is he always right? Infallible?

I'm curious about what makes someone a sycophant. You should be able to help me with this

It's pushback!.

They don't like the direction in which the left and center are taking them and so will grab on to anything that hinders that directional movement!, this is exactly what happens when you ignore the feelings of large part of your population (bit like brexit) only this is a 30 year long brexit.

Half of them don't even like trump, he's just a tool for them!... The funny thing is, imagine if they got a charismatic, charming and intelligent version of trump, you think trump is bad, just wait

So in a nutshell, Trump is a protest vote, and if a ginger baboon with the mental capacity of a chair leg had stood, they'd have voted for that?

Oh, they did

All three were both secularist and atheist. That's not to say that all secularists or atheists have much or anything in common with those three but the fact is they were.

Hitler was Roman Catholic

Stalin was educated in a priest hood.

None of them were secularists in the true meaning of the word, secularists are for the separation of church and state, not the banning of church

I think you're arguing on semantics. I'm well aware that Hitler was born Roman Catholic and that Stalin was studied to be an Orthodox priest but that's not what either of them actually were. Both Nazism and Communism are atheistic beliefs and what either might have believed previously, whilst possibly having an influence, is not really relevant to what they later became.

I accept that your definition of secularist is a valid definition but it's not the only one. The definitions I was using is a person who supports secularism. And the definition of secularism is a system that sees no place for any religion in the running of society. I'm not arguing that secularism is a bad thing. In fact, given the choice I would rather live in a secular society than any form of theocracy. However to argue that most wars in history, and even more so in the last 200 years, have been caused by religion when in fact even a cursory glance through history clearly shows that that is not the case, is simply sticking your head in the sand and condemns us all to continuously repeat the mistakes of the past.

War is usually waged for resource or prestige or a combination of the two.

Religion or some other theology is usually just a convenient pretext
