President Trump has so far endorsed 3 GOP candidates and all 3 lost.

Look like he is about to go to 0 and 4. This time in a district of Pennsylvania that voted so overwhelmingly for Trump 18 months ago that he has managed to reverse a 20 point margin in less than 15 months in office. This does not bode well for the GOP in the November mid-terms, or for Trumps ability to remain in office much after next January.

Or do people think Trump and the GOP (with the help of Cambridge Analytica and the Russians) will be able to turn things round?

Unless the west get their act together we will never see free and fair elections again. It ended in 2016.

to be fair now... trump only won the congressional district by 20% in the general....

if this was the midterms... they would need to flip 20 seats to gain the majority in the house....

this would have been democratic seat target 115.......

that would put about half the republicans in trouble....

but we shall see who trump blames in his tweets...

Yeah but (as long as he doesn't fuck it up somehow) this meeting with Kimmy will bump him right up, and everything he's fucked up so far, and all the scandal will be forgotten. He's in for the next 7 years. And that's if he doesn't take a leaf out of the Chinese president's playbook.

Democrats need to get a net gain of 24 seats to flip the house.

There are 23 seats that Republicans hold in districts that Clinton won.

Another 30 seats in districts that only had the Republicans 5 points ahead.

Another 31 in seats in districts Republicans have a 5 - 8 point cushion.

Democrats are currently polling with a double figure advantage on the generic ballot. Not only could the house flip, it could be a big majority they have instead of the vulnerable one republicans have where theyre struggling to get legislation passed.

Republican candidate has said he will not concede and will win when the military absentee votes are counted.

Seems the average swing from Republicans to Democrats is running at about 20% and in this latest election the republicans out spent the democrats $4 to $1. Russia will need very deep pockets to win the mid-terms I think...

I wonder if the Republican party has seen winning quite like this? Maybe they will be asking Trump to stop as he said they would be before he was elected to become the USA's first SCROTUS.

This is an MSMBC critique of the Pennsylvania 18th election:

MSMBC is biased and this must be remembered, but the underlying analysis and the points about exactly what Pennsylvania 18 is cannot be denied.

I think his Halo has likely gone for many who weren't diehard Republicans, though his hardcore pot of monkeys will stick with him.

The N Korea meeting may see little results in time for him.

I could see a few more endorsements going the same way as these. Maybe they will start hoping for him to go on trial

Did you watch the linked clip?

If the GOP can't win a district that is about to be removed because the GOP so gerrymandered it that it was so near impossible to win that for the last 2 elections the GOP has run unopposed and the Supreme court has ruled that Pennsylvania must redraw the district boundaries (yep its the one Trump told the Pennsylvanian GOP to ignore the supreme court till after the election). Considering this, what realistic chance have the GOP anywhere? No wonder so many are jumping ship and not running for reelection.
