Book of Mormon (2 Nephi 28:7) "Yea, and there shall be many which shall say: Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow we die; and it shall be well with us."

I went to see an Abba tribute band on the pier at Weston Supermare maybe 4 years ago.

I love Abba. I was in the fan club. But after 17 songs of any band . . .

It's all cheese. Too much of a good thing

I like Blue Shropshire (and a nice piece of Wensleydale).

What colour is the cheese?

I find that quite important when putting anything in my mouth.

Blue Shropshire is a sort of yellowy orange colour with blue green veins (think Trump with the brightness, contrast and colour turned down about 50% ...)

I forgot to mention the thick rough skin that looks as if it needs industrial exfoliation!

hahaha

I know a bit about that.

I went to my local pub today.

Hadn't been for two weeks.

"Where you been?" asked the lassie in thick Bristol speak.

(I am rubbish at accents )

"Off stockpiling for Brexit," I said, thinking it would start a conversation about a holiday.

Well, that was it.

Her man and another geezer leapt into a Brexit conversation with each other.

You could tell they were not on the same wavelength.

I'm standing there, I looked at her, I rolled my eyes and she rolled hers.

I said "Que Sera Sera" and put Doris Day on the jukebox.

Doris Day, Que Sera Sera . . . do you know the lyrics?

I love this tune:

When I was just a little girl

I asked my mother, what will I be

Will I be pretty

Will I be rich

Here's what she said to me

Que será, será

Whatever will be, will be

The future's not ours to see

Que será, será

What will be, will be

When I grew up and fell in love

I asked my sweetheart, what lies ahead

Will we have rainbows

Day after day

Here's what my sweetheart said

Que será, será

Whatever will be, will be

The future's not ours to see

Que será, será

What will be, will be

Now I have children of my own

They ask their mother, what will I be

Will I be handsome

Will I be rich

I tell them tenderly

Que será, será

Whatever will be, will be

The future's not ours to see

Que será, será

What will be, will be

Que será, será

Nor mine, never liked the game (much preferred climbing, caving, canoing, fell and cross-country, but that song stuck. (Must have been childhood memories being stirred.

I could run when I was young.

Rubbish over long distances, but extra-skippy over short distances.

It would give me a coronary now lol

Ah, you were one of those...

I was the kid who finished last 20 yds behind 2nd last in the 100/200yd sprints, came second last in the 400 yd, was in the top 10 at 800 yds, was 2nd in the mile and did 2 laps of the cross country circuit in the same time as the 'school athletes' did a single lap (but of course I was not seen as an athlete because the school concentrated on football in winter and track and field in summer, and cross country was neither). lol
