Has it got more insane...

Since may stepped down, politics got a whole lot crazy. This picking a new PM.
Because I'm sure that when may took over, there was none of this going on..
Plus by the time the one is selected, isn't it summer holiday, so technically we really won't see much of a leader ship.
This then only givening us a small insight for 2 months before the deadline. |

The conservative government has become like a cesspit for highly inept politicians over the last few years. It's almost been as if they've had a competition to out-crazy each other, by their lack of intellect, vision and overall suitability for public office. May then resigns, so the rabid bunch that's left is all there is to be picked from.
As it's the futures of millions of people, including some not born yet, that will suffer the impact from these low-lives, it's tragic. |

We now have the current favourite Boris still going on about the NI border being able to be sorted out during an 'implementation period' after we leave.... despite knowing full well (I hope!) that unless there is a deal on leaving, there is no 'implementation period'.

We now have the current favourite Boris still going on about the NI border being able to be sorted out during an 'implementation period' after we leave.... despite knowing full well (I hope!) that unless there is a deal on leaving, there is no 'implementation period'.

Anyone who watched the BBC debate last night will know what Boris actually said was the UK and the EU could use article 24 of the GATT, which is a WTO implementation period which is a completely separate thing to the implementation period talked about in Theresa May's deal (although May's deal isn't really a deal, it is a new EU treaty). |

No deal is not an agreement and the only way the EU would agree to an Article 24 agreement is if we agree to pay the balance of the £39 billion and agree to a backstop on the border in Ireland. If we agree to all that to get Article 24 'free trade' with the EU why not just have May's deal instead?

I’m happy with the way things are going, thank you very much 
But if you are not and have to blame someone then the Maybot has to take some of the blame for not delivering a BREXIT deal. Corbyn too, because he is so unelectable that even she could get the better of him.
With a competent leader the Labour Party might have won the last election... |

The vast majority of the £39 billion amount covers payments to the EU under a transition period on May's deal/treaty. No deal voted for in Parliament (3 times) means no £39 billion for the EU. The £39 billion fee has nothing to do with an article 24 GATT agreement.
The backstop on the Irish border has also been rejected by Parliament 3 times as part of May's deal/treaty, it just isn't going to pass unless the EU make concessions to either time limit the backstop or give the UK unilateral and unconditional legal right to withdraw from the backstop if we so wish.
Sajid Javid's idea of dealing directly with the Irish and agreeing to pay the Irish upto £500 million to sort the border out bilaterally with the UK seems like a better idea, and is a lot cheaper than £39 billion. |

More nonsense from Sajid Javid, does he think Ireland is going to fuck over the other EU26, after three years of unity among all 27 remaining EU countries? Wishful thinking at this stage, why doesn’t he use that €500m to sort out the border on the U.K. side??? |

Can Ireland sort it out by itself? MFN suggests they can't... If they don't apply vet checks to uk meat then that's no vet checks for any coming into the eu... No?
And good to see we're back on article 24 again. The no deal solution which needs the eu to agree. (plus all other members of the wto) |

Look at the arithmetic , after the 2017 General Election , tax payers cash from the magic money tree ( money we couldn't give to nurses , police , education etc. ) was given to the DUP for them to vote with the Conservatives which gave the Conservative government a MAJORITY , so the ONLY people who have stopped Brexit are the Tories !!!!!! |

Funny that. I thought that Labour were contriving with May to get BREXIT done. I guess their real problem is that Labour is not Remain enough for Remainers and not BREXIT enough for BREXITERS. Almost the complete opposite of the Tory problem of way too BREXIT for Remainers but a little too Remain for BREXITERS.
