Has Boris pulled it off?

Has he bent over backwards to get the UK out of europe?

Are we heading for a deal?

Some sort of deal will be presented before Parliament on Saturday, and then Parliament will reject it.

The Benn Act removed that option. So far, it appears to be having the desired effect.

There wont be a good deal it is all about not to get the worst deal, a good deal would be justice to northern ireland to avoid a hard border.

The only effect that had was giving the eu a bigger bargaining chip.

Cobbled together in a desperate attempt to sustain Johnson as PM but I'm guessing that the likelihood of getting an extension is still fairly good.

Somewhat pessimistically I think we will crash out on the 31st. Something is going to go wrong this time. I feel it in my bones.

As far as I can see all Boris is doing is moving the border to the Irish sea because he doesn't need the DUP support any more as they are an irrelevance, however the strategy is doomed to failure, the Benn act probably has more holes in it than a piece of dutch Gouda or 1 of the 27 other members will have had enough.

We are all fucked I'm afraid. On that cheerful note. Anyone for a shag

"so where are all the posters that were convinced that he didn't want a deal? "

I actually don't think he does because the deal he is now likely to accept is going to be the one they rejected under may.... and go back to the suggestion the EU made in the first place (the NI only backstop)!!!

i just want to see how he is going to spin basically throwing the DUP under the bus now there is no majority.... (i have zero sympathy for the DUP by the way!)

i want to see tories mps trying to then spin its a super duper deal!

. I expect the Tory machine to spin any deal quite well , with the help of Sky , BBC and the papers they are quite good at spinning ,, the problem may arise on the doorsteps when people question their individual MP as to why their MP did not get the same deal for them as they did for Northern Ireland

i did find it an interesting note that the Scottish and Welsh administration probably know less about any deal than the DUP and the ERG do..... so much for "country before party"

i wonder what TM is thinking today knowing she probably got a better deal for the country than bojo will... and she was villified on all sides!

I think amber rudd was right to say that there probably is a tone of "sexism" in this..... these men are prepared to bend over backwards and shield bojo where they weren't prepared to do that for may!
