Is Johnson making the same mistake as May and pissing the public off by asking us to fix their mess?
That said, Johnson does have charisma whereas May had none.
Do people want to be bombarded with more brexit bullshit for six weeks?
That's all anyone has heard about the last three years and the fatigue level must be high.
Labour will want to fight the election on domestic issues like the NHS, education etc.
Their message might work - ignore Brexit for now - we promise you will get a separate vote on that in 2020.

Also one key point she makes: what do we do when this election (as it likely will) comes back with a hung parliament? How do we interpret that in the “Rorschach test” of what the election will be?

Some people will, for sure. But there is a gamut of other issues out there - from climate change to the NHS - for parties to tap into as well. |

The recipe cooked up by the Conservative Party doesn't meet any of them.
Indeed, there is a report out today that says the Johnson recipe will wipe £70bn from the economy - £1000 for every citizen.
Who the fuck wants to vote for that?

Today's report is published by the National Institute of Economic and Social Research.
It is the nearest thing to the economic impact assessment that Javid says is not in the public interest to publish.
I can see why.

She increased her majority in 2017, but I know there is a massive campaign to kick her out because of the row over the no outsiders policy in her constituency. So that’s one to watch on election night |

Yeah agreed so emotional now, so emotional its like England thinking it’s going to win the World Cup every 4 years then being bitterly disappointed. They will wrangle for years over it because it’s such a goldmine of votes.
You cannot get voters emotional about much. But find something that will turn them into nutters who will advocate violence to get their way and keep them voting the way you want them for years. Classic. |

You do not need to be an economist to see the risk of stagflation.
Fewer £s in the economy and rising prices.
The border paperwork is estimated to add between £9bn and £15bn to British costs annually.
Cue "fiscal stimulus" to get the economy moving.
The irony of how much the right say they detest fiscal stimulus (when Labour do it) won't be lost on anyone.
