It’s all well and good having lots of referendums, as long as the public are politically aware and there is no invasion of ‘fake news’ as we’ve seen in so called civilised nations recently.
When a prime minister or president can literally be proven to have lied (with video evidence) then just deny ever making the statement, and yet still rely upon the support of an adoring public, you have an unreliable voter base with which to ask policy questions.

There is no best form of democracy,I doubt if there methods could work in a heavly populated multi cultural society like ours.
Look what happened over Brexit look what is happening in Scotland we do not like referendoms well the losers do not lol |

What do you mean recently politicians have always lied, just like "normal people" always have, strange how folk forget about Bill Clinton saying he had sexual relations with Monica. Go back to the 60's here for the profumo affair too. |

Telling a lie about an affair is not the same as saying ‘Everyone should vote for this really great thing’ then when video footage of you saying the opposite appears, you just deny it.
