Would be great to get away for a quiet weekend break.. I’m from Glasgow . Don’t want to drive to far .. Preferably a country village feel with a few nice bars ..any ideas anyone ?

Just have a look on groupon etc and see where’s on offer within your budget and distance

Oban is supposed to be lovely and easy to get to from Glasgow. Or do you mean smaller?

Nice drive to Oban but just a tad too far. Been to Moffat a few times , just need to get away for a quiet time with a few meals and a nice bar. Small country village feel .

Inverary then? The George Hotel has a lovely pub and awesome rooms. Not very cheap and likely to be popular but so nice.

Been to the George hotel.. got the weekend sorted now. We are going to a hotel near us. Small village with hotel nice bars ..

Myhotelbreak.com usually have some good deals. Barony Castle Hotel outside Peebles is lovely

no not taking dog.. don’t have one lol.

It’s a quiet weekend away with the wife .change of scenery, eat ,drink.. And relax. Before we go back into lockdown lol
