Isn't this a case of conflating two separate values?
One is about your overall basic manners.
The other is about how you play.
A gentleman can be exactly that, while being as filthy as you like in private. Just because you are having consensual filthy play doesn't mean you can't treat others with dignity, respect and manners... Does it?
