We head either the 9th or 11th but deviate a wee bit as head to Elgin down to Fort William first and then follow it.
First 3 years together from 93-96 we went that route but haven't done it since.
Looked out a load of old pics last week so hoping to stop off at all the off grid bits we visited too.
Enjoy and fingers crossed the weathers decent. |

We are just back from a fortnight doing it. Great time but no naughtiness sadly.
Our advice is just take your time and don't rush it. We wild camped but stopped off at a number of locations to get water etc.
You will love it if you get the weather and if you have time venture onto skye |

Really looking forward to it, we've just got a few bits today and done a food shop. We're hoping to take advantage of Scotlands wild camping rules and stop over in a few discreet places where we can have some fun on route. |

We are going end of August... some of the best views I've ever seen, we are pretty lucky up here eh!
Hoping to take a couple of risky pics along the way this time |

"We're doing the NC500 between 9th to the 16th of August! Really looking forward to seeing some beautiful views and local food. If you'd like to connect whilst we're in the area pop us a message x "
That was the most random bit of parking when you were having your lunch.
Was chatting then walked away down the beach and the missus said you are off FAB and doing the NC500.
Good chatting though and enjoy the rest of the trip. |

This post made me think... NC500... 3/4 nights, Drive, scenery, ice cream, black pudding, camper vans, tents, and outdoor 'naturist' camp fire every night... |

We've just finished we had an amazing time few photos from the fairy pools on our profile 😉 we had to go pretty high off the tourist path to find a quiet spot.
We'd absolutely recommend it to anyone. We used the Northcoast500 app to short list all the places we wanted to visit. Then put that list into CoPilot to create a day by day itinerary with driving directions, shops, fuel stops, its been so handy and easy to organise.
If this post pops up in a forum search we're happy to be contacted for advice 😁

Aye,and to actually park next to each other and then start chatting was so random considering all on here.
Some stunning spots and found that bridge we were on about after 30 years and got the pics the missus was wanting.
Also spot on with going off the beaten track for a bit of peace and quiet. We stopped everywhere and anywhere for some riskier pics including so many bridges with traffic going past. |
