It's the old conundrum of can't get verified as people won't talk to non verified.
As noted above, the easiest way is to attend a club or a social. But I appreciate that isn't always practical or possible for everyone.
My other suggestion is to spend more time in here getting yourself known in the forums. And not only in the sex related threads. If you chat away you'll get more recognised and people will be more likely to approach you etc. Not an easy fix but its what I've done in past.
