No time for people who don't reply

I know as a single guy this might sound a rich. But I've started blocking folk couples/ women/men/ts/tv who have not replied or the ones who have and are not interested.
Makes life easier when searching as same profile don't keep showing.
I think more guys should be doing this to save themselves time.
Who else is doing this? |

Your profile lacks pictures and has very limited information, I am not surprised you get limited replies |

I don’t see the point in blocking.
Not sure how it is in Glasgow / Edinburgh but Aberdeen has an over abundance of males and guess females anyway get inundated.
I’ve sent messages I thought were ignored and heard back weeks later.
Keep the faith as they say. |

Currently have over 800 messages unread and I do try to read as many as I can but replying is impossible with that many . So please don’t take it personal from myself . If I don’t reply this time you might catch me at a good moment next time and get a reply . Sorry , know it’s a different life hear for men and women and we are all different . I'd say the same, dont just give up straight away and block it might be that your message has come along at the same time as 100 others. One of my favourite meets messaged me 3 times before I replied and im so glad he did as we have the craziest time together  |

Agree, but tbf, the ratios are extreme, I wouldn’t block, but have the conclusion sending messages is a waste of time, although I still message a profile I think may be suitable (for some daft reason) |

I can sometimes take weeks to reply my inbox is currently sitting at 242 messages so it takes awhile to get though some especially when some just send a message saying “hi” or “wanna fuck” or the awesome “tell the slut get to mine” ones.
But cool yeah block it’s one less message for folk to deal with when they get around to it lol
You also have hardly any info/pics on your profile so that’s maybe another reason you aren’t getting responses. |

I don't do this because I rarely message women (nearly all of my engagements have been on the back of women messaging me) but I think sometimes a lack of response isn't necessarily down to lack of interest. Women are inundated with messages and will perform a mass delete from their inbox.
Also, in two particular instances where I've attended a Fab social event, some women were unable to find the profiles of the men that they were chatting to. It turned out they had been blocked by them, despite getting on very well with them at the event. It's amusing how some things pan out! |

Interested to hear the opinions here, and I know I'm gonna get ripped a new arse hole for even suggesting it haha, but does it seem fair gals demanding the opening pics always? Like yeah they're ladies and some guys are wackos, fair enough, but surely that's where it ends. Privacy, discretion, just a want to keep yourself to yourself. Kind of agree. But due to ratios I have the impressions men are sometimes seen as lesser beings.
That said, I have a few very polite rejections, along with the arrogant supremist (to polite messages sent). Just tells me human nature is in every area of life, and take the rough with the good, |

This.. why is there an expectation for men to share their pics first? Does our/mens privacy not matter as much as a women's or a couples privacy? Ofcourse it matters but I think the key consideration here is that its a demand vs supply ratio and we know how that works here. Also for to folk having mentioned that I dont have more pics and that's why I'm not getting replies, I know that and I've kept it like that for a reason. So don't need any patronising comments. But really good to hear all prospective.

I’m bi and am fortunate enough to attached a fair bit of interest. Whilst I never am in the 100s of unread messages I’m often in the 20s
I do have some sympathy for the women on here though. A large minority of messages have not read my profile/ are the other end of the country or just blunt. I can imagine that after a while it wears you down.
I try to respond to all messages most often with a thanks but no thanks. Block button only gets used if people are pushy or creepy

Most of my messages are from straight guys either saying Hi or saying something about a pic. I don't reply as the chances of any meet is nil. Can't imagine what it must be like for couples and single women.

I don’t see the issue. Life’s too short. Cast the line out and if you get a bite then great. A fish isn’t going to come up to the surface and say “nah mate, not tonight”.
Just because you’ve messaged doesn’t give you the entitlement to get a reply.
Plus if you’re not a supporter you have limited messages. |
