Obviously more men but in whole very respectful except a few, no different to a swingers club . The jacuzzi was amazing really hot and great after a long day at work . We saw maybe 5 couples from the hours of 8 till 10, got to play with one of them . Another sounded like they had a great experience in the sauna with multiple men , very hot ! Literally lol x |

I went along with a friend. First experience of any kind of club night and it was great.
Thwre we're a few women there but not many.
Personally I had an amazing time! The sauna was so hot, in many many ways. Had a play in the swing and then took advantage of one of the rooms.
Everyone was really friendly and respectful. Will definitely go back! |

There were all sorts there as was advertised it was for everyone. So straight men playing with women or couples, couples playing woth couples, bi men playing with each other and other women, and gay men playing with each other. If someone approaches u that ur not interested in then it's easy enough to just reject them.
There was maybe too many men there for my liking and I didn't get thr opportunity to play with any females just cos they had a crowd following them, but they definatley sounded like they were having lots of fun and we're spoiled rotten! |

It was definitely a good night. The jacuzzi was certainly jumping! A good turnout from couples considering it was the first of these events, and a chance to play in whatever way you might choose. A very fluid space and a well run venue. |

On the guys version of this site, they are dead against it, saying it is "their club" and hoping it fails. I'm. Hoping it succeeds, as it sounds great fun.
There was a club for a short time in Ayrshire that did it that was a success. Unfortunately for them, low numbers generally in the area ended the club. Having a place in Glasgow would do very well I'd imagine |

Doesn’t surprise me in the slightest tbh
Although when I went to fox street the gays all loved it and had me sat round drinking tea and telling me all sorts of stories lol turns out a few of them knew and worshipped my bestie lol
My pal who wanted a support buddy ended up decided it wasn’t for him lol poor boy was traumatised lol
Whereas I’d went from phoning before hand asking if I could keep my swimsuit on to stripping off and flaunting it all
Funnily enough I was the first one naked at pleasuredome too lol |

The biggest concern about this is that Pipeworks used to be a safe place for gays. During these events some gays or lesbians might feel attracted by a straight dude or woman without knowing, so better be open minded, open minded and be sure you’re not bringing your diva or matcho crap there. You want to be a man or a karen, be those elsewhere. |

I think it kinda goes without saying that etiquette works in both communities !!
And I suppose if the staff wanted to make it easier to identify people’s preferences different coloured wristbands could be an option
I’ve had lots of women come onto me and been politely told no thanks and only ever had to be a little more aggressive on two occasions, I actually find men seem to take heed of the tone of my voice the first time lol
The events at steamworks were well attended and never any issues in regards to behaviour etc , the issue that stopped the organiser from returning was the venue insisting on zero alcohol because one of the staff members got his knockers in a twist when his gf had a bit too much to drink and biggered off with a couple(without permission I assume, but she was happy as Larry, he on the other hand wasn’t) and then suddenly they started banging on about alcohol and consent
The fact the pipe works already has a bar and it’s used sensibly speaks volumes !

Exaxtly, all it’s needed is one of these bad boys being asked to leave out and complaints to the council start running in leading to closing the venue, like many others. There are no places where gays can feel comfortable in Glasgow, as there are tons of dens and heterosexual spaces, lots of love houses for gents and ladies, but very few gay places where men can express their sexuality. As you know, darkroom bars or sex bars are banned in Scotland because at some point some person found it unethical. My fear is that the sauna is the only place people can still have sex outside their own home, and this is a risk to be closed by some d*unk jealous person. Who doesn’t someone open a straight version of this and have these events daily. |

I have attended Pipeworks as a single bi male. It's a very fun space, and am delighted that it is being opened up a little further.
It's a great resource to have, and I feel that running mixed nights monthly will help contribute to covering the operating costs, and thus keep it available for the gay/bi/trans community for the great majority of the time.
My partners (m+f) and myself are really keen to come to one of the mixed nights, so will be keeping an eye on this! |
