Hi Everyone,
A few of u might remember a similar post i done in the forums last year with the same heading just wanted to bring it to the forums again i was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2002 that was a very dificult time for me and i was in a seriousy dark place back then but im here now thanks to the treatment i had and would emphasise how important getting your smear test is PLEASE DONT PUT IT OFF....
And guys plz remember u need to check urselfs over too.
And since its a swinging site EVERYONE should be having regular sexual health checks .

Well done again for this post jacs again too this happened to me in 2002 so yea close to my heart too all is clear here too.

So glad you got the all clear Fmuma hun cos I know its not nice to have to wory and stress about something like this.
I have to get my smear redone every 3 years since my mother had precancerous cells when she was only 31 and only found out when she went to get her hysterectomy, and ever since I was 15 I have been getting them, I even have Steven remembering when my last one was done so I cant forget!!!
I know its not a very pleasant 5 or 10 minutes but it could save your life - an argument I have had many times with real life friends who refuse to go!!!
Personally I believe I owe it to my daughters to do everything in my power to be there to see them into adulthood, not leave them motherless cos I forgot or (my frinds excuse) cos it is uncomfortable 
I like many others also think more men need to check themselves cos no one knows your body like you do, and whats normal for one person may not be normal for others. So check check and check again please

glad to hear u got all clear. and good post jacs had cc myself in 1992 and thankfully after many months of ops and treatment have never looked back.

Aren't we all just fantastic fighters - we should all be proud, quite seriously!!
I had moderate pre-cancerous cells last year and had to undergo treatment for it - all on the back of my routine smear. Thankfully got the all clear in October . So girls, those of you putting off that routine smear, ask someone to smack your bum (you might enjoy it!! lol) and make that appointment - takes a few minutes for the test, it doesn't hurt and could save your life. |

having done the race for life after losing someone very close to me can i jst say its a fantastic day, full of fun and very worthwhile .... it would be great if more ladies could sign up for it all help greatly appreciated xx |
