Believe it or not, its National Lipstick Day!! I know! Crazy, isn't it?
As you know, I'm a huge fan. Never without it and yes, I am aware its a kind of addiction. I'd love to be a natural beauty but for as long as I can remember I've been slapping it on every day. So why do we do it? Is it as I suspect in my case, donning a mask? Face to the world? Put the lippy on and everyone will think everything is fine?
As I get older it matters less but its still a part of my own personal "make up" which I guess will be with me for as long as I can apply it. Even though the sight greeting me in the mirror is somedays more "Whatever happened to Baby Jane".
Would it bother you guys , if we gave the lippy a miss permanently? Or do you kinda like it?.....

I can't say I'm a lover or hater of it Jinty.
If the woman likes it and feels comfortable with or without it, then good for her.
Just accept her and her choice and life's a whole lot better

I never wear lipstick. I had to wear it for my work everyday so it's lovely not having to anymore.
I do have other bits of make up I wouldn't survive without though |

Well Jinty, I guess if natural beauty has passed you by, you have to resort to artificial enhancement! 
Personally, I prefer the natural look, although that doesn't necessarily mean no enhancement at all, just applied sparingly. Maybe a case of 'less is more'?
But I do have to compliment you on the look achieved in your avatar, very stylish and classy!  |

Excuse me Miss McGinty but his name was Peter.
I have it on good authority that he arrived ok and gave the said chips to a chap called Bothy who devoured them and said it makes a change ftom them fooking biscuits.
