Godlike Genuis award winners this year courtesy of the NME ( although that recommendation went a long time ago considering they publish crap bands now )

I love Suede. One of the best bands you'll ever see live.

NME are in bed with Royal Blood right now while they aren't the greatest band ever or anything particularly new. I really dig em :P

Nothing wrong with that. The NME always follow new the darlings of the musical world. It's just I loved the NME but they lost themselves completely with what they are about,

The lost it in the naughties when desperately trying to create a new scene....they forged 'no scene' lol...you couldn't make it up, it was like something out of viz/the day today.

Championing the like of The Vines and touting them as "the greatest thing I'm rock n roll ever man!" is just embarrassing...see laterally wet blankets like "The Vaccines" ugggghhhhh!

The Beatles - Blue Album

Primal Scream - Screamadelica

Peter Gabriel -So

Elbow - Seldom seen Kid

Don't know if these are the 5 greatest albums, but probably the albums Ive played to death most. Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits and AC/DC were just squeezed out !

This is almost impossible to shortlist it down to only five!

1. The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses.

2. Blur - Parklife.

3. The Beatles - Magical Mystery Tour.

4. Nick Drake - Five Leaves Left.

5. Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde.

But I can't leave out

6. The White Stripes - Elephant.
