Hey folks,
With a few different socials going on/being arranged for over East I thought it was time for Glasgow to get in on it again 
I have done event arranging before so could do myself but if others have done before and want to take over I'll be more than happy lol, maybe help out a bit if needed 
Just seeing what interest would be, maybe end of May/start of June? |

Saturday would be best,but with a bit of notice may manage a friday  |

I could be interested along with a female friend(she isn't on fab, hope that doesn't make any difference), dates dependent off course. Ideally a Saturday. |

Liking the response to this so far
Will start looking at places and depending on continued response may end up ticketed but would imagine that'd only be if a surge of interest haha |

So after talking a bit to a few folk in chat room it looks as though end of June would be better for most people?
How would Friday the 25th June work for people as a cemented date? Then I can start looking for venues |

That's the day most schools close, you might find that many parents ourselves included will be heading off to sunnier climes. |

Sent a few enquiry emails to a few places in city center today for Saturday 25th June (last night was a typo.. will teach me to post at 4am lol)
Also unless I come across a find then I think even will have to be ticketed to help with hiring costs.
That just means I could get creative in printing fancy tickets though haha!
Keep commenting if you WOULD join this date, then once thing have been looked at and spoke with with a few venues and one decided on I will be able to mail round everyone
Be a totally social/non-playing event, thinking something simple; meal/buffet, entertainment (live band or dj) and a bar.
Some added treats to the night may happen if one of a couple venues contacted is decided on also |

a little thought before posting can go a long way. You could have removed this as a possible venue as its now common knowledge that the op has used thisvenue before

I have never arranged a social before, so he could just have been offering a suggestion of a venue to check out which is great, I accept all imput, it gives me an idea of what people enjoyed before and I can alter or develop existing ideas around them.
This event is going to be ticketed anyway so even if location does leak no one will be able to enter without their ticket for security and privacy reasons |

Alot if venues wont do a ticketed evwnt on a fri/sat night as their staff are busy enough, so just be cautious what information you give away during your planning stage x |

I have still to decide on this though I think I'll either do email or simply take note of everyone and have a list at the door, or probably both with full details of night in an email, as I could totally understand some people not wishing to share their home address |

Ladies and gentlemen a Venue has been decided on!
Just sorting out final details with event manager at venue and I will start mailing those who have registered interest so far with some more details and create an updated Forum Post too!
