What Music Genre would you say you are most associated too...Secondly ..Name 2 Bands that you listen to mostly.

So the formula is this..

1.Genre

2.Band

3.Band

Many thanks

I really don't have a specific genre... but if I did it would probably be rock... ergo I don't really have a band I listen to mostly... I find people bring music into your life which is one of the reasons it brings back strong memories... ergo my answer to this particular question today... and for personal reasons is...

1. ROCK

2. COLDPLAY

3. FOO FIGHTERS

Very changeable though ... everything from Roy Orbison, Blink 182, Queen to Sia and a lot inbetween.

Great post, music lifts us in every sense whether you play or appreciate

listen to artists more than bands,

1; Rock

2; Bob Seger

3; Roger Waters

both have amazing bands backing (silver bullet) and of course Roger Waters backing band made up of;

Doyle Bramhall II – guitars, lead and backing vocals

Andy Fairweather Low – guitars, bass guitar, backing vocals

Snowy White – electric & acoustic guitars

Andy Wallace – keyboards, Hammond organ, backing vocals

Jon Carin – keyboards, lap steel, programming, acoustic guitar, lead and backing vocals

Katie Kissoon – backing vocals, percussion

Susannah Melvoin – backing vocals, percussion

P. P. Arnold – backing vocals, percussion

Graham Broad – drums, percussion

Norbert Stachel – saxophones

This can be quite difficult to answer because for me one day I can listen to one genre the next something completely different however,

Probably if you asked anyone who knows me the answer would be

1. Prog

2, Opeth

3 . Dream Theater or Rush

Couldn't pick a genre as I have an eclectic taste in music. I go from dance to Elton John in two songs with my playlist.

Favourite bands would have to be for just now

1. Coldplay

2. Bastille

Although that could change in an hour

In the words of Miles Davis "Jazz is a made up word, its social music"

Hearing that line made wonder about the origins of the word, so I looked up the etymology and it goes like this:

Jazz - jasm - jism - spunk

So the next time you listen to Miles, Bird, Coltrane et al remember this, thats spunk they are spitting out of their instruments

You're welcome

Music is all about sex so that does not surprise me at all... it's a gutteral soulful thing... it comes (no pun intended) from the very guts of a person and expresses everthing the soul desires, needs, wants... so much to say and best said in a song
