Social experiment.

As the title says I wanted to try a wee social experiment as follows.

So after landing a massive contact I have a 5 figure bonus getting paid out next week and I don't want to sound like a dick but it's the biggest bonus I've every had and I can't help myself.

So what would you do if you had a whopping lump sum dropped into your account?

Let's say it's £40k

What would be your first 3 spends?

You can give it to charity, spend it on family or invest in something sensible or just go mental.... choice is yours.

Personally I'd invest half & then the rest I would spend on whatever I pleased

Firstly, I'd avoid certain women on here who would spend it for me in the blink of an eye.

Family, family, family for me.

Falkirk

Invest some. Spend some on my kids. Pay a few bills and then have a couple of weeks off and have some free time without worrying about the cost

Invest your money all the way, don't throw it away, rainy days can sometimes be stormy weather.

Koh Lanta

I'd spend £35k on drink, drugs and partying as hard as I could, then I'd waste the rest on something foolish...

Nothing, it would sit in ma bank so I know I'm comfortable, id let it and more money build up so when I'm an old man I wouldn't be like the millions of old people in this country who have to choose between having food or heat

Easy for me

1. £10k each into my niece and nephews trust accounts I have set up

2. Buy my mum a new car

3. Then use the last of the money to take my family and some friends to Disneyland in Florida

A world of my own

Treats for my boys. Pay off a few debts. Do up garden and buy a lazy spa. I'd give a little to some friends and then holidays twice a year with the rest until it ran out.

All kidding aside, this is what I would do too. Help my daughter out too.
