Hey lovely people! Just starting a new thread In the hope of cutting down on some social related mail as messages are getting lost The venue has been confirmed for Saturday the 22nd of April at 8pm. The venue details will be given out on the day of the social but it is in the city centre for anyone booking travel or accommodation.
Anyone interested in coming along just post a wee comment on here (if you haven't already) and keep an eye on the thread for any updates.
A couple of people have been blocked for sending harassing and inappropriate mail to other attendees so please bear that in mind if you hear from anyone on the day looking for venue details. If they can't contact me directly then there's a good reason. We just want a drama/hassle/trauma free evening. Anyone who isn't verified yet, please do your best to get verified before the social. You can easily do this on cam or post a comment on here and see if one of the other lovely forumites can meet you for a quick coffee/beer or whatever floats your boat.

Also, can everyone try their best to pm me before 6 on Saturday as I'm not sure what the network be like after I leave my house. The Fab app can be funny when I'm out and about.  |

Just made a last minute addition to the prize haul for Saturdays raffle....you're going to love it!
Any suggestions on a charity to donate the proceeds of the raffle to? I can think of a couple of local charities who would desperately love a donation or we can go national?
Tickets can be bought on the night for £2 per ticket or a strip of 5 for £5. There will be a twist to this raffle so be prepared to grab and snatch! |

A bottle should be fine as long as it's in a bag or wrapped so it's not confiscated by bar staff

After a quite significant wobble that I wasn't coming I am pleased to say that I will be there. I'm looking forward to putting faces to names and having a good night out

I'm adding my thanks too. I met lots of lovely people. Some old faces, some new. As usual I didn't get the chance to speak to as many as I would have liked.
The raffle was an absolute hoot. I have no idea what the other patrons thought of a group, where "nipple tassels" was being shouted every five seconds.
I was the one stuck holding the magic 8 ball. |

Who won the nipple tassels in the end? 
My headache has subsided a tad for the minute so I'll take the opportunity to thank everyone who came along last night, it was busier than I thought it would be and everyone was on really good form. Thanks to BustyandBubbly for almost sacrificing your voice for the raffle
It was great meeting you all and so much fun. Apologies to anyone I didn't get to say goodbye to after the pub but I had to go get a taxi home before I fell over. It was with the hangover though! Thanks also for all the lovely messages I've had today. Hope to see you all again at the next one.

Those nipple tassels were in high demand!
My hangover seems to be calming down. A walk with the dog helped a bit. Apologies to all the people I spoke gibberish to...drank a lot of beer on an empty stomach  good fun though!

Not really the aim of the social though, and given the location there are plenty of hotels very close. |

I'm dying today, so hungover 
Thanks to Jemima for organising a fantastic night, I had a scream and really enjoyed meeting so many new people.
Sorry I didn't get round to speak to everyone.
And a massive thank you to those who bought raffle tickets last night, £125 was raised and is being donated to a local mental health and brain injury charity who are looking to take disadvantaged service users on a summer day out.

A big thanks to the host Jamie and the planning team for worthwhile Social and the raffle section was a blast.
The lassie that anchored the raffle did justice to it (my goodness she was loud). Hope her voice didn't give way?
