She is the hostess with the mostest and makes everyone attending feel so at ease and welcomed.
It's just a shame only half the people who put their name down turned up, and with no notice or notification, it meant the ones on the reserve list who wanted to attend couldn't .

There will be a non refundable £5 deposit which people will get back on the night when they attend .
If people cancel or dont show their £5 will be sent to a charity of my choice and a reciept show to prove the money has been sent to the charity . |

I think you should put the price up and returned when they arrive, say £15 to £20. More hassle for you but at least genuine ones will turn up.
I had to cancel the last social I was supposed to attend and gave just under a weeks notice, I was told I would get my deposit back but I told them to put it too charity. I was so glad they got someone to replace me |

We usually love you nights but didn't put our names down as knew it isn't a good time for me (glitter) so a quiet night was planned for us. Don't understand people who put name downs and then don't show up or at least let you know.
Deposits is a good idea and it will hopefully leave the space for the genuine people who wish to attend what always is a good night.

I always thought a higher deposit was best, even at my first social, Dundee one over a year and half ago there were a few who didn't turn up. So need to work some way out.
It's even like that on here when I see people who put on their status timewaster or no one showed, its just annoying, not cause i could have been there, (lollol) but just gives people a bad name. I just don't know why people do this.
Get higher deposits everyone, If I was going I don't mind a higher deposit as the only reason I wouldn't be there was if My son or daughter wanted t spend that night with me or I was deed.

I always enjoy your night Jacs but unfortunately due to a bereavement I couldn't make this one. Have been to ones in the past and know how disappointed you've been only half turned up. Didn't spoil the fun for who was there but think a deposit may be the way to go. It'll certainly limit the time wasters. See you at the next one. A x |

It’s a tough one when people start pulling out and you’ve went to a lot of effort beforehand, no matter how big or small a social is, it always takes time and effort

Was still a great turn out but what upsets me more about the no shows is that there are people left sat at home who were hoping for a reserve place to become available and because of the no shows they missed out on a great wee night |
