Try Allans furniture down at Tradeston. Good quality and built to last

As above, depends on price really, I've had a couple of cheap beds that cost 200-300 break in places.

Recently spent a reasonable amount on a solid oak bed, with proper hard wood slats, don't think an earthquake could shake it!

Happy to go bed shopping and testing with you. A bit trampolining (vertical or horizontal) should help you decide.

No idea, I'm lost. Damn Sat nav!

As some have said the more you spend the better the quality.

Just avoid the memory foam mattresses is my advice

I'm the worse person to give bed advice (don't ask ), but I spent a few hundred on a solid pine bed, and it's amazing.

Central Borders

Avoid cheap metal frame. Go for good quality wood. Possibly with bars things at headboard, better for tying up games

A world of my own

I have an antique sleigh bed. I rehomed it from my aunt. When she bought it, she spent around 3k on it. Its now 15 years old, solid and beautiful. I love it

Sounds lovely. I bet you'll get another 15 years plus out of it.

Sadly I don't have 3k or a kind aunt.
