We've recently been contacted by a "Newbie Couple"
We actually met them when they had a previous profile. Now with a new profile and a new profile name they have asked us to re-verify them.
We did but now wonder if this was the right thing to do.
Have we broken a verification rule?.... as they are now with their new profile name.
Your views on this please. |

so if someone changes their profile name does that mean its wrong to have verifications from your old profile name?
I dont think so as long as u have met and can verify the people as genuine xxxx |

We verified this couple ages ago on their previous profile. Now with a new profile we canot be absolutly sure its even a couple now.
Just becausse they came as a couple then doesnt mean they are still a couple.
And to verify is to be sure they are as they claim in their profile.
So thats why i ask.....Wasnt such a dumb thing to question afterall was it? lol |

"That applies to any couple. They could split up a day after you verify them. "
Thats very true...but what worries us is this couple, with a new profile COULD be just the guy posing as a couple now.
That leaves us open to a false verification doesnt it? |

If your doubting that you should have verified, block them (if you dont think you will meet again), ok the green tick still stays, but your verification will come off their page. |

tbh maybe you should have questioned it further before you re-verified them if you are so worried. i wouldnt stress, you have re-verified them end of really. if it turns out to be a single bloke posing as a couple it shouldnt affect your verification at all since i presume you mentioned meeting them as a couple therefore its accurate to your knowledge. |

Or COULD be just the girl posing as a couple??
What's the punishment for false verification anyway? Imprisonment!? |

If your worried, go to the profile you have re verified and drop in a report.
Admin can look at the account.
Chances are nothing will come from it but your then covered if something does come from it in the future.
