OK, so I missed the first ten minutes but I watched the rest of episode one through my fingers.

The wit, pathos, and general greatness has long since disappeared and they're now flogging a dead horse that should have been in the glue pot years since......

Best laugh I had in this episode was when Edith and Is a we're in shot couldn't help thinking of some of the birds on here .....Sorry girls ...

I'm still a fan, but would agree that so far this final season isn't delivering classics.

Last night's episode was pretty decent, but wasn't fussed on Sunday's.

I think it must be near impossible to maintain a high standard or keep things fresh 9 series in. It's more a nostalgia watch for me now than something I look forward to being brilliantly funny.

It was never going to be as good as the first 6 series. Its dipped since then. Probably the right time to bow out.

Agreed, we had the box set up to six I think but last three series been dreadful.

I was invited to the live screening of Xmas special once and it was pretty pants. I wanted to head out half way through but endured.

Haven't seen the new one yet but it had long ago switched to a more obvious panto style of humour which isn't a good thing. All subtlety etc has gone out of it.

I'm going to eat humble pie and say after being away for a week, I've caught up with the series and found it much improved.
