i thought first half was terrible, glad hearts scored first as i think that made celtic come out and attack more.

I am just glad that it was a good game. Competing with a team with a superior budget was always going to be difficult. Both teams showed that Scottish football isn’t as bad as everyone thinks. As for Neil Lennon He’s a good manger but unless the board back him Celtic won’t progress in in the champions league. He can’t compete with teams that spend over a 100 million One player. That’s what Scottish football is up against |

Rubbish. What Scottish football is up against is whenever 1 of the smaller clubs has a decent player, along come Celtic and snap them up to nullify that threat. McKay Steven, Armstrong, Hayes. The list is endless. They continually weaken the opposition then cry about no competition leaving them weak in Europe. Well diddums. They know fine well that clubs can't turn down the usually under value offers they put in for these players because the rest of the club's have been financially left behind with Celtic and Rangers before they died and went defunct keeping too much of the pie to themselves larger shares of prize money and TV money. Scottish football is crap and those 2 are the cause of it, Celtic being the main culprit. There'll be no congratulations from me. Being the winner in a 1 horse race isn't anything to write home about. |

I'm not going as far as congratulating Celtic, but even though we lost I had a pretty enjoyable day. I'm glad Hearts made a game of it given how awful we have been recently.
Two mistakes cost us. If it wasn't for them we win the cup. Celtic are ruthless though so fair play.
Still onwards and upwards. Roll on next season. |

Did anyone watch the final St Mirren Dundee Utd game today ? That must be the worst penalty shoot out I’ve ever seen not one Utd scored from the spot . It’s not my favourite way to end any match but surely players should have had plenty practice in the run up to the game .
Sorry for derailing the thread . |

One of the worst lots of penalties I've ever seen from Utd.
I'd have preferred them promoted. They would offer more to the Premier league than St Mirren. |

I was disappointed but plenty of unnecessary toxic bile inevitably appeared on twitter from certain clubs which followed the result. I think it was a fair 1 all draw but shame the penalties were dreadful. |
