Liverpool

We've been going to PDI for around 5 years now, but always stayed in a vanilla hotel and visited the bars and clubs every evening.

Which resort is best though? Thinking of staying in a resort for a change...

Only been the once and at La Mirage last January, loved it. Going to Venus Star today !.Of course not fair to compare at the moment. We live on mainland Spain so no real issues. To comply with GC requirements had a Covid test, both negative.

Never been to Mirage so can’t compare, but if you want a holiday where you just float from the moment you get there Venus is the place.

An absolute dream of a place enjoy

Can we ask please, have you stayed at Venus or were you there as day trippers?

We have stayed 4 times at Venus and loved it. That said, we were there last week and as the case everywhere, was very quiet.

We are going to PDI again mid March and this time we are going to La mirage for first time.

Reason being is that IF PDI is going to be quiet, then La Mirage at nearly half the price would be the better option.

Have had good feedback for LM so will no doubt find out for ourselves.

North West

Only stayed at LM. It's well run, spotlessly clean & a laid back vibe.Sometimes they have the odd singer on. Bar closes at 11pm.We've been in May & July, full both times. It's situated an a quiet area about 25 mins walk to the Cita centre if you want the clubs & the same to Maspalomas bars. It's self catering but Faro 2 shopping centre is within 200 mtrs which has a main supermarket open 7 days as well as a few bars. LM does do bar food & offers a taxi service to & from the airport for 35 euro each way. Nice cars & reliable. We're hoping to get back next year.

Cap d’Agde, France

Think both resorts are very good, Venus seems to draw a younger crowd and a lot more play happens around the pool than in La Mirage. The food is excellent as is the accommodation although it is situated on a hill so does get a bit more wind chill than LM.

La Mirage is definitely more laid back, smaller but with a lovely staff and atmosphere.

Been to both and La Mirage is our favourite. More intimate and friendly.

Better value for money, staff are all excellent. Venus was classier although Mirages refurb is very good too.

A place for both and both great for players and those who just like lying naked in the sun.

we have stayed at both.

It all depends whos there at the same time as you.

La mirage is smaller and more relaxing.

The three times we stayed at venus have all been very different depending on who was there.

The last time we went was a massive party for five days, none stop playing, drinking.

We went home needing a holiday. Lol

I'm sure you will like both places.

Exactly as above, it’s the people that make it, both venues very nice but we prefer Venus, hope to be there for NY

Some times you get lucky, other times you end up with someone who unleashes the stinkiest fart known to man inside the sex shop

Lol, how are you both doing?

I forgive you, and had completely blocked it out due to what followed.

What an afternoon!!

Sun, music, laughing, far to much alcohol and tails.

We’ve stayed at both and have to say both are fantastic, clean, great staff, good food. Venus Star larger more spread out but touch of class everywhere, la mirage smaller but feels more personal but neither would be any good without the fabulous people that go there and make your holiday memories.

Book into both and split your stay.

We are thinking of five days in each followed by 4 nights relaxing in an all inclusive

Have stayed in both many times but prefer Venus, as we found much less cliquey and more play there! Also the day events like the barbecue attract people in who are not staying so you get to meet loads more people!

gran canaria,Spain

Hi

we are residents of gran canaria

for us we like the mirage better

since it is more familiar and the treatment of the staff is more pleasant

the venus is like the supermarkets that the treatment and the people are colder and there is more posture of the couples

Is there a bar and restaurant at Mirage? We’ve been to Venus Star several times and it’s been great, thinking about Mirage but concerned about getting fed and watered.

Yes there is a bar and it serves food and drink all day (even has a happy hour). They also have a small shop that sells most of the essentials.

Yes there is a bar that has a food menu. It's not extensive but has a basic choice, from memory, including cooked breakfast and pizzas.
