Can any tell us if it's easy to get a taxi outside airport to PDI, or do we have to book?

Any info would be welcomed....

Easy to get a taxi. Better to book a transfer in our experience. Plenty competitive around 35 Euros. You can get the bus also if you’re not in a hurry. There are direct ones to PDI take about an hour I think

We use Zip transfers too. Always been very reliable. They've always been waiting in the airport on arrival and either bang on time or early for return journey. Bit of pot luck on the vehicle you get. We've had minibuses to ourselves, nice cars, or sometimes luxurious Mercedes.

SPAIN.. Not UK

We use magar airport transfers booked through Canary forum, free WiFi in all their cars, always luxury cars and English speaking drivers. Always in reception hall at airport waiting on arrival. Even when our airline did not bother to bring the hold luggage in for 2 hours.

Great service, cars always luxury and immaculate.

Last time was 31euros. Think it's 32 now.

We were recommended it on here a few years ago.

Never let us down.

Cars are so nice it feels almost like we are royalty getting in when picked up at La Mirage for return.

Bus is great, not as quick as taxi but stops at places you never thought existed, give it a whirl.

We tend to hire a car as it's not that much more than 2 taxi journeys.

Hopefully, will be jumping into that hire car in September, the way we feel at present, would walk from the airport.

Definitely the mega cheap stress free bus. So cheap and frequent. Big Auto opening outside doors for your cases and you are in pdi in no time. If you are not sure where to get off, fire up google maps and watch your progress to where you are staying on it get off at when near it.can't go wrong.

We have always booked a transfer via Ryanair, which has been fantastic. Works out for the two of us a £25 return.

However, last year they cancelled last minute due to the pandemic and we were advised by the Fab PDI community about jumping on a bus. €3.50 euros one way per person and dropped us straight outside the yumbo and our accommodation. It was a quick and pain free journey.

So definitely worth an option. Check the route and the stops and if it’s close to your hotel and you haven’t got loads of luggage to shift, a great option.

I think the taxi service in gran canaria is the best in the world, I would give them some buisiness so they can continue to do a great job.

Weve found Hire cars are cheap and easy, last time we paid €55 for 10 days.

One of us collects the luggage the other goes to collect the keys.

Great to get about the island if you fancy it as there are some amazing sights.

Always take the bus , love it , air conditioned and the views are amazing, except for the large drop down by a small beach , drops off at loads of places , and dirt cheap, but the white Mercedes taxis are also very good and cheap

We use the taxis, 5 days ago, with extra luggage etc to Venus in Sonnenland was €36, so 40bucks with a tip. And we use the Venus transfer taxi when we leave.

Thanks for that guys. We just want to say that taxi drivers have been hit hard by the pandemic, they have been limited by the number of days they can work. We all know how different PDI was when taxis were scarce. We need to look after them....

Bert, we have always used Autoreisen.

Very good to deal with. Book online and only pay when you arrive. Pay for the hire with no holding deposit, no fuel charges either. Return with same fuel as you started with. No charge for extra driver either so you can put Fiona on as well . "

This is the company our host has recommended to us so we'll be looking at using them x

We've used plus cars for years.

No drama, no extras, all good.
