We have stayed there a couple of times and found it to be really good value for money. The food isn't spectacular but not awful either. The rooms are good, modern and clean. It's central, not too far from Maspalomas but also walking distance to the Yumbo. A €3.20 taxi fare will get you just about anywhere in town. There's a taxi rank immediately outside the hotel. If you're fully comp. then there's a really nice afternoon buffet. During normal times there's live entertainment outside in the evenings. Lots of shops nearby to stock up the bar fridge and of course the vibrant area of Jardin de Sol a short stagger home
The only downside we experienced was no rooftop nude tanning and the queue for drinks at the pool is long and slow moving. |

"I'm returning tomorrow for a week. Friendly staff, food is good and rooms are modern, decent bed and shower. Day bed area with Jucuzzui. Whats not to like "
When we were there 2 weeks ago, the Gran Canaria Princess was still closed (as it had been most of last year). Assume it must have re-opened on 1st July.
The Maspalomas / Tabaiba Princess had re-opened and looked to be extremely busy when we walked past a couple of times...
Enjoy... |

The Gran Canaria Princess PDI is closed until further notice.
I had a reservation there but they didn't email me to inform me that it was closed. Luckily they have a sister hotel in maspalomas so I went there to speak to a manager. I'll have to stay here instead.
Not a happy bunny because this hotel isn't adults only and not as modern as PDI with Juzcuzzi etc.
At least I'm away |

From a testing thread of a couple who left today. See below.
Just got back. The hospital at melenoras (San roque) do them.
They are €15 if you show them you are staying in tourist accommodation. No appointment required.
From pdi near the beach to the hospital in taxi is only €6
Remember to take passports with you.

"Thanks All......The Gran Canaria Princess PDI is taking bookings on all major sites. Can anyone confirm if it is now back open. I dont want to book it and then get moved to another hotel."
I walked over to Princess just to be 100% certain... and it wasn't just open but quite busy, as is that whole area. Though I PMd you I thought I'd share with the forum as well.
