"love this place-- meant to keep a note of best room numbers on 5th floor near Rui palace for when we go late Oct!!"
25 is about the middle of the block with the solarium and tbe numbers get lower going away from reception (towards the Rui) if that helps. Numbers higher than 25 will be over the restaurant and then higher still over the pool which gets noisy |

"Been going to pdi over 20 years,and this Nov/Dec will be our first stay in Catarina,looking forward to it after reading such great reviews here on fab"
Dont set your expectations toooo high
Location is excellent
The hotel had a refurb just before we first stayed there and the rooms were absolutely excellent, last year and more so last week the rooms were looking slightly tired and we felt standards had slipped slightly but still way above many hotels we have used
The food is perfectly acceptable and we always ate far too much and never went hungry but gourmet food it isn't the coffee at breakfast is ok but lunch and dinner time it's horrible and you'll need to spend a few euro for proper coffee at the bar. The all inclusive drinks are ok and brands are available at a small premium.
The solarium is nice but there is no bar only water but there are showers to cool off
We're giving it a miss in October and trying self catering but we will definitely be back probably March
Btw you've very little chance of sneaking a guest in at night as security is pretty tight,we got bollocked for not wearing a face mask at 2am lol

The 5th (top) floor is premium and adults only you can't request it without paying extra. I think we paid an extra 150 or 200 for a week |
