Stayed a few times as a single male prior to starting my swinging journey (immediately before and one could say it inspired my start).
The hotel was lovely and you are free to be naked 8-8pm around the hotel and grounds except for the restaurant for obvious reasons.
Having been naturist for some years I knew the score of carrying a towel to sit on and to wrap around in shops if you are wandering around the nudist urbanisation which is fine.
The rooms are reasonably nice but on each occasion I stayed the blade of the ceiling fan fell out and that's 6 years since then so I hope its has a refurb since.
It is a naturist hotel so swinging in public would be more than frowned upon by other guests or staff.
I'm sure you can find ways around that though and with a sex shop and Tempplum swingers club a very brief walk away you should enjoy.
I decided to start swinging having popped my head into Tempplum and no one was there.
Because I was alone, couldn't speak Spanish and had no idea of rules or etiquette I decided to wait til I got home and the rest is history as they say.
Oh I'm not jealous at all by the way.

We visited last October and loved it. Only thing I would say is you need a car. We only saw 3 Taxis the 10 days we were there and carrying shopping back from the supermarket was a pain. Hotel was great. We enjoyed it so much we have booked for 19th May for a week |

When we visited in October it was right at the end of the season and it was mainly older end in. Super chilled out place, great breakfast (Not so good evening meals) |

Depending on what your plans are and how long you are going for the car is a good idea.
Each time I've been I managed without a car a there is a small but adequate supermercado next to tempplum if you're looking to pick up drinks or snacks whilst in the hotel.
There is plenty to explore in the street the hotel is on and the beach but be careful to stick to the urbanisation if going for a naked wander and take a towel with you as if you do want to sit down and you are naked you are expected to sit on a towel if not wrap one around depending on the proprietors requests are.
There are plenty of places to visit around the area with some excursions from the hotel (flyers at reception) including a trip to where they filmed the spaghetti westerns with a step back into the west theme and shows going on. There's also Vera, Mojaca and lots of other pretty towns around if you fancy a chance of scenery.
I chose half board each time at the hotel (food was fine for me with a special diet) and there are full board or all inclusive options depending on your want. Snacks on site are available if you want to tuck in but at extra cost for half board.
Daytime animations are great (try the naked yoga on the beach (six years later and there's still sand up my arse from the amount of times I toppled over but great experience). I found evening o site entertainment not for me with what looked like a German strictly going on most evenings.
Over all I'd highly recommend and have a great time.

we are going on May 15 for 6 weeks so as we are driving not getting there until 17th , we have an apartment in Torremar which owing to covid we havent even stayed in so we are really looking forward to it |

Although a swinger for decades and naked sunbather once with a partner, I am thinking of going to the beach at Vera Playa. I have a place fairly close.
I see from Stan's contribution that the etiquette is to carry a towel but where do you keep your keys and money.? Is it common to carry a bag or wear a bum bag ?
Even at my advanced years I need advice as this is a new thing for me.

Hiya… we are in Vera Playa from 03 June for 8 nights.
We have been before and noted it’s usually quieter at this time of year. Do come and say hi if you happen to be out there.
We love a party but remember everywhere does shut early in June ….

Last night, Monday, around five or six places were still open at 1.30 am. Best nights in hotel street are Thursday, Friday, Sat and Sunday. Templum was closed last Friday and when we went past Sunday and ye it was also closed. Club next door was open each night, as was Tabu and Broadway bar. Plenty of things to do. |

I'm heading to Vera in early September and staying at the Vera Playa Club Hotel.
Previously I've gone with my partner, but this is the first time I'll have gone on my own.
Could I ask if I'll have any issues staying at the Hotel on my own as a single man? |

I'm looking at this and love holidays seems reasonable including flights into malaga for some reason and for the life of me it doesn't make it clear if transfer included. Anyone know how to find out? Can't find a number to call or email and live chat just doesn't work
Assuming it doesn't include then does anyone know how much a taxi would-be each way

Nearest airport is Almería then Murcia I think.
I paid about £20 for return transfer to the hotel last time I went but it is a fair few years back. The transfer took 1hr 30min or thereabouts from Almería. |

We haven’t used it yet as we normally fly into Murcia and hire a car but we have spoke to several people out there that have used them and would recommend them. Approx €30 per person each way. |

Hi all, I'm need of a getaway from it all for a few days soonest and was thinking of making my first visit to Vera Playa. Been a naturist for years and seeing if anyone knows what the weather is like this time of year?

I've just returned from Vera - weather has been pretty decent for the pst 2 weeks, around 25C most days, with the odd day where is was much warmer. There's always the chance of rain and thunder this time of year, and it can get windy, so don't expect perfect sunshine etc.
It's the end of the season over there, so places are starting to close (especially hotels), and the bars/restaurants that remain open often don't open until lunchtime or later, so it can be pot luck.
Still plenty of people on the beaches though.

We hope to head out this summer ‘23’ July/ August, hoping to stay at the Vera Playa hotel.. As seems as cheap as anywhere else at the minute with the costs of flights so expensive.
Although car hire is expensive

There is a bus going from Almeria Bus station to Vera. Takes an hour and costs 10Euro. I suppose there is a bus from the airport to the bus station, and I know that there is a local bus from Vera to Vera Playa. |

Just booked using exclusiveairportshuttlesdotcodotuk from the Almeria airport to Consum Supermarket return for just over £18 each way.
Might get a cab from the supermarket to the hotel but will probably just walk it. |

We live close to the hotel. Were often looking for hookups with people on holiday. We've had some great meets with guys who e invited us to dinner in the hotel and gone upstairs. We love this area. |

Templum closed now or at least only open Saturday nights. Supposed to be a club behind it but it's just a gay cruising venue. A dance club with beds in the back with glory holes. Wasn't a nice place when I went last week |

Hello all will be there for 4 weeks well near Vera about a 10 min cycle or 3 hours if I don’t stop for lunch will give u all a wave from the beach wave back and go for a drink lol and great sex had to throw that in |
