Just a little ditty to see who is staying where and when this year? Our area seems to be getting more popular given the number of folks on their jollies last year... |

We live here full time, but we’re taking a break from the play world. There was always something going on but nowhere near as busy as places like Alicante or Benidorm. We have had some great times here though. We are in cartagena so not too far from the golf resorts and the towns along the Mar Menor |

"Would anyone recommend Vera Playa.
Yes, though it depends what you're looking for. Definitely a great place to visit, great beach,
great bars etc."
Can you give me more info. I can't message you direct. Is it a good place to meet people and what is it like in early May. |

"What is murcia provence like to live in,Whats weather like all year, big towns beaches etc?"
Google is your friend, but from my experience, it can be quite cold from November to February, you definitely need heating!
John July and August the weather can be too hot, perhaps even unbearable!
Where I am in a golf resort, it’s fairly quiet, there are some holidaymakers, but just couples, no families!
I don’t live here permanently, so perhaps a ful time resident can be more helpful to you?
Murcia is a lovely region of Spain, you should definitely visit |

We are not in Murcia but very close (15 minutes) and our weather is pretty much the same.
Spring and Autumn are usually mixed. Can be very nice but at some point you will get a rainy spell. Expect temps in the mid 20's but you may need a light jacket or pullover some evenings.
Summer is hot to very hot and (apart from the occasional thunderstorm) very dry. Temps mid to high 30's and 40+ is not unknown especially inland.
Winter is much cooler but on average a lot warmer than the UK. Temps can fluctuate but low to mid teens is about average. However single figures are not unknown but it can also get into low 20's. Inland can be colder. It tends to be mostly dry with some rain but this year has been unusually wet.
Because of our geography Murcia and the south Costa Blanca are one of the driest parts of Spain and we get around half the average rainfall of Benidorm and the Costa Blanca north which is only just over an hour up the road.
Popular tourist towns are mostly around the Mar Menor and include San Pedro del Pinatar, Los Alcazares and the La Manga strip. Busy in the summer months but can be dead in the winter. Further down past Cartagena is Mazarron.
Between the coast and Murcia city are various golf resorts which are popular with golfers and non golfers.
Local airport is Murcia (Corvera) but flights can be hard to find in the winter. Much more choice into Alicante. |
