"Off to PDI 20th Feb and was wondering how the kiosk numbers have changed. Never could work them out, but question is, where do the swingers congregate and are they now open?"
The one you are looking for is Kiosk 6. Walking from the lighthouse side the first one you will come across is 8. This has no loungers in front of it at this time.
The next one is Kiosk 6 and is for Naturists and Swingers. Although the loungers are set out either side of the Kiosk, there is no segregation between swingers and naturists.
Yes they are open and very well stocked. They have 3 taps, two Tropical and one Sangria. If it is quiet the ladies will walk around taking orders from the loungers.
Payment can be made with either cash or card, whereas the loungers/parasols can only be paid for by card. |

My wife asked me the question a couple of days ago
We remember we only visited the beach for 20 minutes because of the sand blowing around

The predominant wind in Maspalomas is a north easterly and that's the one that usually sandblasts yesterday's tan right off you. The guys who do the loungers set up windbreak netting around the perimeter of the loungers. Personally I choose the left hand side (facing the kiosk) simply because any sand flying around has to get through three wind breaks first.
People not wanting to rent a lounger tend to take advantage of this shelter and tend to set up camp just downwind of the loungers.
The beach shops at the lighthouse have windbreaks on sale. If you set these up then the trick is to weigh the lower end in sand (on the leeward side) in order to prevent unplanned involuntary parasailing.
All of that said, when the wind really howls, it becomes Nadapalomas and really nothing is going to make it pleasant.

Today's forecast looks better than it has for a while now. There's light whisks of cloud that will probably burn off later, and we expect a high of 21°C by midday and no cloud till evening.
Provided the wind doesn't pick we should be in for a nice day... I'll be down there in my Speedos. Mr Eden. |

So bit of a light breeze has picked up but not strong enough to lift up sand.
There is a strong 1ft ground swell coming through with a bit of oomph behind it so not a good day for wearing your sunglasses in the water. Otherwise really nice for body surfers and the grommets at the lighthouse.
Lots of loungers available at this point. A reminderthat loungers are card only. The kiosk which is open is cash or card  |

All the kiosks seem to be open, still not sure about the numbers though. They have numbers on the side and different ones on the front????
There seems to be one towards the PDI end and the original towards the lighthouse |

We are staying north of PDI. We walked along the beach to Kiosk 4 yesterday afternoon. What is best was for us to get to no 6. Walk along the beach or get a bus to Lightouse then walk through? Or an alternative? |

"From the PDI end, the naturist kiosk is meant to be no 4, but that is almost completely deserted as the naturists have moved en masse to kiosk 3 which is nearer to PDI."
Agree… there was a great vibe at k3 when we were there 2 weeks ago, lots of people chilling, chatting & having a beer or 2 round the kiosk and the ladies that run it are bubbly and great fun….the music gets turned up as the afternoon goes on.
Have to get there early if you want a sun bed though as it gets really busy!
And bonus, it’s much closer if your staying PDI end x |

Pardon my ignorance…..I’m getting a little confused ! (age thing) ….We stay in Meloneras & walk along the beach from the lighthouse direction to Kiosk 4 (last summer) .
From earlier messages is there now another swingers/naturists section , further along past the gay section & toilet block(yuk !) ?
We’re out again in June ….can’t wait |

Not anymore, it is now the nudist section that was Kiosk 6.
I’m not sure what number the gay section is now as we didn’t venture that far. |

No it is way down the coast from there, from PDI beach you head right along the coastline to Maspalomas. It’s around a 45 minute walk, you reach the gay section with the rainbow flags, the next kiosk along is not Kiosk 7. You can’t miss it as everyone is naked  |

There are no bars in this area, just kiosk bar huts with sunbeds around them. |

Hi there yeah just looked on Google map and kiosk 7 is actually on maps so are you saying that is the area then as if it is last year we was way out as we was down by the Hard Rock Cafe people naked there also but that looks more like where the fun is and are those beech hits open to get a drink? |

If you've been before the traditional swinger section is centred now at the NEW (As from yesterday) kiosk 7 which was Numbered 6 the last year or so but was mainly closed, it opened up earlier this year. Was for many years named no 4. walking along from pdi it's the penultimate beach kiosk just after the very obvious gay one. coming from the Faro lighthouse it's the second one you come across. Coming from the dune entry point at the big Rui hotel go right and follow path c it arrives near the gay section so just bear right to the newly named kiosk 7 . It's traditionally where people From Fab sunbathe naked. tho most of the whole length of the beach is used by nudists really. |

Yes there are plastic chairs with small square tables with drinks recesses. You can put them next to your lounger too. |

Swell has been big and powerful. A gully has formed on the left hand side (facing the sea) which is causing a strong side and back wash. If you surf on the left side the lifeguards will tell you to come out or move to the right. |
