Hi everyone!
We’re planning a late-summer getaway and are torn between two options:
1. Booking a dedicated swingers resort.
2. Staying near Playa del Inglés (PDI) and exploring its clubs on our own.
We’re after somewhere hot and sunny (doesn’t need to be Gran Canaria / Spain) - with an active swinging scene and preferably a younger vibe if possible.
If you’ve been to either type of destination, could you share your recommendations and any tips for making the most of the trip?
Thanks in advance!

Pretty much anywhere will have an older vibe if you go outside school holidays. Because accommodation is cheaper you're going to get retired people on long stays, because why wouldn't you stay several weeks or even months if you can?
PDI pretty much closes down from the swinging perspective in summer because everyone is going to Cap d'Agde. It really gets going again in October.
In PDI there are a couple of small swinging resorts so you can both stay there and visit clubs. |

Okay great, thank you!
We were thinking of going September, so would PDI not really be worth while then?
And what’s Cap d'Agde like? We’ve heard a little about it but thought it was just a nudist village? Are they welcoming of swingers? |

We've enjoyed September before now, but then we are a bit older, so not really looking for young people!

It's a nudist village, but has various swingers clubs on site, plus a beach where you can have sex and no-one bothers. And all the women in the village wear their sexiest club wear in the evenings. |

Okay awesome, sounds like Cap d’Agde could be a lot of fun! Do you recommend anywhere in particular to stay? Or a specific area within the village?
Thank you! |

Cap is an eye opener. The beach in the afternoon is excellent. However the village is fairly run down in parts.
Whilst in the evening everyone dressed up or down to very little, we found it to be a place frequented by older people.
At the restaurants, seating can be tight with the French happy to smoke non stop.
Overall an interesting experience but would not return. Prefer a naturist beach and a bit more luxury. |

Definitely fun! The naturist village is not that big, so it doesn't make a huge difference where you stay for a first visit, as long as it's inside the naturist village (most of Cap d'Agde isn't naturist).
It must be said that accomodation tends to be very expensive for what you get, in comparison to other places.
Anyway, see the France sub-forum for more info. |
